Anyone else skunked for 2021 still?
Well, I haven't lived in MN for 25 years but I know the sign was still there the last time I went which was probably 10 years ago. It specifically stated it was breeding grounds. I think it was off Lafayette bay.

Anyone else skunked for 2021 still?
There's a portion of Lake Minnetonka that is closed to fishing all year. You just get to stare at it because it's the pristine grounds for bass. Too bad about the traffic at Minnetonka, it's an incredible lake. One of my biggest largemouth is out of that lake.

Drop Shot Fishing Too Boring To Watch On TV !
I could watch several of BamaBass' videos on YouTube over and over again before I'd watch someone fishing with drop shot.

Polarized glasses
I have a pair of Native's that no matter how bad I mishandled them, the lenses WILL NOT SCRATCH. I mean just when I think I put them through the ringer in a day of bad weather and clumsiness and just take some lens cleaner and they look brand new. Got a pair of Costas last summer I spent nearly twice as much on and the left lens is already scratched and I can't remember how it could have possibly happened because I take such good care of them...

Has Anybody Used One of These for Knot Tying?
I just swallow both the main line and the leader and the next day it comes out tied together...I ***** you knot. ?

Need a new Senko rod - Considering a St Croix Mojo Bass medium-fast 7' spinning rod. Your thought?
I cannot see the slightest difference in build quality from the mojo and premier. Maybe premier has better guides, but the craftsmanship on the mojo, Mexico or not, is just as good in my opinion. I'd just as soon get the better blank out of the mojo.

USPS - Beware!!!
Well some good news. After 23 days floating around the country, the rod arrived and was intact. The missing hoodie also showed up the same day.

USPS - Beware!!!
It's crazy...two days before I posted this I had placed another order. Now I'm watching that one because it went from Columbus, GA to Macon, GA to Atlanta, GA back to Macon, GA and now back to Atlanta, GA....LOL. It's almost a game now to me. I am tracking them every morning and each day I get a chuckle at the service the USPS is providing (you have to laugh to keep from crying)! The hoodie is now in Indianapolis, so at least it's headed in the right direction for the time being.

USPS - Beware!!!
Update on the hoodie...after 13 days in the system, it looks like my hoodie was scanned in GA. Mind you this shipped from southern IN and was supposed to deliver to me in northern IN. What a disaster. At least there's some signs of life.

Do you categorize your PB’s?
This right here! My PB is a 7 lb 1 oz and I caught it in MN. To me that is much more impressive than someone in FL catching a 9 lber. But of course...I have to brag on myself...who else will? ?

USPS - Beware!!!
Ordered a Daiwa Alphas from Digitaka a couple of weeks ago. It showed up in 5 days via FedEx (ordered on a Friday). Another stick showed up on my door today...ordered Monday and UPS had it here today from CA. I don't see USPS getting better any time soon...they're circling the toilet.

USPS - Beware!!!
I also just shipped two reels I sold in the flea market here. Luckily they arrived to their destination on time using USPS. I'll be using strictly UPS from now on. Thankfully there's a UPS store near me. Normally I like to handle a rod before I purchase, but this was a rod I already own a couple of models of and the price was great...but that deal went sour quick thanks to USPS.

Been bass fishing 3 years. Not a single bass. Looking for some help from northwest indiana
Can't imagine not catching bass in NW Indiana...I've caught plenty of 3-4 pounders and a few 5s and 6s just in retention ponds. My bud caught a 7.5 pounder in the retention pond in his subdivision. There's a pond at a park near me that a guy pulled a 9 pounder out of. It was in the local paper a few years back. Don't give up...there's plenty of good largemouth fishing to be had.

USPS - Beware!!!
Just a heads up if you are planning on shipping anything or thinking of clicking on that next purchase from someone who uses USPS that the item may not ever reach it's destination. Normally, I would chock up one lost package as bad luck...never had a lost package previously, but this month I've had two items shipped to me that went missing. A $300 rod and a $70 hoodie never made it to me. I'm also keeping an eye on another package that was literally shipped to me from 3 hours away from where I live that has now taken 6 days and no updates...am I looking at a third missing package from USPS? Quite possibly. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up so you don't end up with a major headache and lots of hassle from the post office.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
These are actually from last year. Headed up to MN last spring and shortly after a front the bluebird skies came in and the temp went up 20 degrees. Nothing worse than bluebird skies after a front...right? Needless to say it was an epic two days on this body of water.

Bass Pro Spring Sale
I have a Cabelas 2 miles from me and a BPS about 15 miles away. I was just on Cabelas/BPS web site and put in my local store...according to the web site, the Cabelas/BPS right by me does not have stock on a single rod or reel or sunglasses! Seriously...I sat for a half an hour or so messing around and looking at every possible model and size of rods, reels, sunglasses, etc. All say they are out of stock...funny because I was just at Cabelas a few weeks ago with my son who bought some sunglasses and the racks were full of rods, reels and sunglasses. Using their web site to shop is a waste of time.

Straight FC on spinning reel?
So there are no pike where you fish? No muskies? I fish a lot in WI and MN and there's plenty of pike. If you don't have to re-tie a leader during the day, you're lucky. I've been bit off a dozen times in a day. And the difference between a 6 foot leader and a 12 foot leader isn't going to effect my ability to catch fish.

JDM Shipping times
I got the same response when I ordered my Alphas from Digi...I thought it was going to take longer than the usual EMS but that wasn't the case. It was at my door in 4 days from time of order.

Straight FC on spinning reel?
It's more for not wanting to re-tie on the leader during the day. After re-tying the lure through the day you lose several feet. Using FC isn't going to add much stretch any way.
-
Straight FC on spinning reel?
Can't do it myself personally. Just not worth the hassle. I catch plenty of fish using braid on my spinning reels and generally go with about a 12-15 foot leader of FC. I've got the FG knot down...but if the weather's nasty it can still be a pain so I might use an alberto knot.
