  1. Thanks Tipp. I'll check it out.
  2. Thanks KU! I don't know if that applies to the situation at hand, but I'm sure Glenn can enlighten me (or confuse me) :-?. Hey, Glenn, I checked and my music is saved at 64 kbps. Is there anyway to convert? -Fisher
  3. Well. . . uh. . . I think. . . thanks, Glenn!! :-[ I'm embarrassed that I really DON'T know what you're talking about (and I don't think I'd benefit from an explanation), but I will look to see that the songs are 128 kbps. I'm trying to load them from my computer (where they were loaded from CD's). Is there anyway to convert them to 128 kbps? Pardon me for being so tech-challenged. I'm doing pretty well with the computer now, but with this cell phone I feel like a woman in front of the auto mechanic. (Well, you know, this "thingy" is making a "bumpity-bump" noise while that "thing-a-ma-jig" over there has come loose.) :-/ -Fisher
  4. Too funny Mudman!! Too funny!! ;D The sad part is that you're probably telling the truth. Thank God you got past the stuff.
  5. Hey fellow Tech-savvy bass resourcers, I have a question. I recently upgraded to the Motorola Razr camera/video phone (not sure of model #), maroon color with MP3 player. I also bought a 512 MB memory card and installed it. When I got home, I tried to sync some music to it from Windows Media, but to no avail. It looked like it was sent to the phone, but when I tried to retrieve it, I couldn't find it (even tried the audio player on the phone, but that only showed ring tones). So, that's where I'm at. I understand that you can buy some stereo headphones that hook up through the phone's USB port, but is there additional software to load/settings on the phone, etc. that would help? I'd sure like to listen to some music from it, but I can't. Any help would be appreciated, Fisher
  6. Happy Birthday, Valascus!! I just turned 37 on Saturday. I remember 25. It was quite an insignigicant age (other than the insurance discount). 30 was good for me; I kind of finally felt like a "true adult". It seemed like people began to take me more seriously and I fit in a little better (with older people). I hope 40 is as good to me (God willing). Again, have a great one!! God bless, Fisher <><
  7. Logger, The Cabela's in Fort Worth, Texas did for me. I had a Cabela's gift card that someone gave me and I wanted to buy a trolling motor bracket (around a $25 purchase). BPS had it for $10 cheaper and I asked if they would match that price. They said they would. I'm sure either company would match the other's price on the same brand/type of item, especially if you were spending a chunk of change. IMO, if they won't match then don't buy it from them and let them know you are walking. If they don't want my business, then I won't give it to them. I think in the current outdoor market (with Academy's, Gander Mountains, BPS, and Cabela's popping up everywhere) they can't afford not to. -Fisher P.S. I'm never afraid to bargain with any retailer. It never hurts to ask (even on lower priced items). All they can say is "No".
  8. (Half-hearted) Woo-hoo! Seriously, I wish you guys well! I dont' think there's any chance of BCG leaving you guys except for the NBA, but I don't see him doing that for several years. Well, looks like we'll have to make do with Turgeon from Wichita State. Then again, BG came from a lower teir school (UTEP, right?). Perhaps with the talent we have, we can make a run again next year. :-/
  9. I'm glad someone's happy. . . Now, to find a replacement. Hmmmmmm? :-/
  10. Sign of the times. We proved last year that we were willing to pay $3 a gallon. They'll continue to gouge us for every penney until EVERYONE does something about it. I still think our trucks should quit hauling for a few days and you'd see a change. What kills me is that the price at our Murphy USA went up 10 cents in one day last week. I predict we'll be paying $3 by Memorial day. $3.50 by July 4th.
  11. I really do like the show as well, and yes, I liked the first season best before the quotas. I've got the new episode recorded and haven't had time to watch it this week. As for working on a crab boat in the Bering Sea. . . I think I'll pass. My favorites are the Hanson's boat and the Maverick (unless that kid takes over this season). Then, my favorite will be Sig's.
  12. One of the best crankbaits I've ever thrown is a white Model A Bomber. Bar none. I also have alot of success with white spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, but I've never tried a Senko or Soft plastic in white. Hmmmmmmm. Maybe something new to try?

I might as well throw another question out there. My hot water heater(gas) makes popping and gurgling sounds whenever someone in the house runs cold water (not hot). What gives? It's been awhile since I drained it. Could that have anything to do with it? -Fisher
  14. . . . and I thought I had until Labor Day. I think I'm going to go and buy a pair next payday. I'm like some of you; putting it off. My wife and daughter have a pair and love them.
  15. OK, I went back and looked. Make that the "8,668 Mooks in a Boat Fishing Team".
  16. Sorry to hear that! You do have a good attitude about it. I like to fish alone sometimes, too, especially to learn new techniques. I seem to focus more without the distraction of conversation. However Muddy, if all of us take you up on your offer, then you'd have to have a VERY BIG boat for all of us. We can re-name the team "8,000 Mooks In a Boat Fishing Team". ;D BTW- Are we up to 8,000 yet? I don't want to go to the home page for fear of losing this post. Oh, well. -Fisher
  17. Just lie like the rest of us!! ;D Seriously, that's a nice bass (4-5 maybe?). How long was it? -Fisher
  18. According to what I've ever read and observed (alot of this comes from the "Bigmouth" video) is that spawning bass may go for three to four weeks without feeding. They will tank up on forage pre-spawn and not eat until up to two to three weeks after spawning. Supposedly they will go deep and lie still after being on the nest. When they return to the shallows (post-spawn) they then go on a feeding binge again. I would assume this is true as this is why we are so successful in catching lots of bass during these times. I would assume (although not a good practice) that the bass can go these long periods at other times of the year (like winter) as long as they are inactive (like Other said). Their metabolism goes way down when they don't move. My answer to your question would be up to one month. Again, I'm no expert (but I did stay at a Holiday Express last night) ;D . . . sorry, couldn't resist.
  19. Go Rangers!! We're hoping to rebuild with the re-birth of Slammin' Sammy! ;D Time will tell. Seriously, three words will define our season. . . pitching, pitching, and pitching.
  20. Hang in there Tipp. I know that God has someone for you. You know, you'll never catch one if you don't make any casts. Glad to hear you tried. You never know, if it doesn't work out with the "other guy", you might get the knod. -Fisher
  21. They play that in between innings or at other random times, but I don't think its anyone's "theme song". Also, not to be a tool, but the song is called "Baba O'Reilly." If you listen to the lyrics, you'd probably think like me that its not a really "happy" song. Its all about the fighting that's been going on in Northern Ireland since, well, forever... Thanks for the correction. I don't know what I was thinking. I was thinking that they used to play it for Paul Oneal (sp?)? Zara Spook- Voo-Doo child is Mark Texiera's walk-up song. That's a pretty good one. -Fisher
  22. Tipp, Sorry to hear that. My wife's grandmother might be facing that now (we'll know soon if it's cancerous). I know several people who have fought and won the battle the the big "C" and live wonderful lives now. I will keep you and your grandpa in my prayers. God bless, Fisher
  23. Go, tipp, go. Quit making excuses and ask her. Surely there is a way that you can get in touch with her. Ask her co-worker's or something. Do it now!! You don't want to die a grumpy old single man, do you? >
  24. Dude, Are those Christmas lights on in the background? Did this happen recently or is your family really redneck at leaving Christmas lights up year round (I guess it gives a new meaning to "if you've got'em burn'em"). JK ;D Seriously, that hurts! My dad hung my head with a lure when I was in kindergarten. I was walking to the front of the boat as he reared back to cast. They did the same thing to me at the ER. To this day, I still remember the color of the lure and it's name. After putting the hook back on, I caught MANY nice bass on that lure. It was a Kautzky Chug-Ike, yellow with black spots. Funny how I remember that. -Fisher
