  2. I am going to Weiss Lake, AL for a week, leaving tomorrow. Primarily for crappie, but my dad and I are big ***s so a couple days we will devote to bass considering from what I read the bass fishery in this lake is on the way up. Any suggestions on what to use and where? Ive been there before but never fished for bass. Should be fishing by Sunday as we are driving straight through.
  3. I am going on a weeks spring break trip to Weiss Lake, AL. We will be fishing for crappie. Any suggestions? Leaving Tom. from Indiana and driving straight through. Will be fishing by sunday.
  4. I use swivels like that only on crankbaits as said earlier. Other than that I take the time to tie the knot directly to the lure.
  5. This is a great technique. I have caught many many many fish on this. I use Zoom Trick Worms or Yum Houdini Worms.
  6. Anything that is 2 Ibs. and up is a big crappie where I come from and anything 3 and up is a trophy!

  11. What is your price range? 6'6 graphite is good all-around pole IMO If you are on a limited budget the BPS Extreme or Bionic are good for starters and are a very solid combo for the price JMO

  13. Actually I have caught some very good fish on the road runner. I use BPS version Stump Jumper and I have caught 22" and 23" on it. Work very well and it is actually one of my go to baits.
  14. I use strictly Terminator and Booyah Spinnerbaits. In clear water I use a white and in dark or dingy water I use chart. right now i'm trying to figure out the blade things, what works where colorado/indiana/willowleaf but I use a trailer always I like Zoom splittail trailers and also use 3" grubs. I use trailer hooks on some and not on others, I have found no difference in my opinion on catching a fish tho i have caught some on the trailer hook.
  15. Im in Indiana and fishing in local ponds with my brother they work better that way than anything else we throw. I use the BPS Stik-o or a yum dinger and he is the little one so he uses the expensive yamamotos that my dad buys for him and bith catch about the same amount i see no diff.
  16. I was just wondering what you guys think of this rod. I have 2 already and will be buying 2 more at the spring classic as these are my favorite rod that I have ever held in my hand. I just LOVE them. They fit my hands perfectly and for the price (especially 50 bucks) I just think you can't beat them. However, the Bionic Reel uhhhhh not so good but the rod is amazing in my opinion. What do y'all think?
  17. Just picked up a couple of these today. I have never fished one of them before. I got one in Baby bass and crawfish and some other one i was wondering where you fish them(I noticed they are very shallow runners) and how you fish them and most importantly DO THEY CATCH FISH?

  19. Ive noticed a lot of people on the forum tend to have a lot of luck on the horny toad so i went to bass pro and bought me a couple packages of them. What I want to know is what colors do you use, how do you fish them, where do you fish them, what is the advantage of them over a spro frog type and what is the best way to rig the horny toad? I live in northern Indiana and unfortunately there is still snow on the ground where I am so I wont be fishing for a few more weeks but when I go out this will be the first bait that I try. Any help will be greatly appreciated. By the way, You guys are awesome Ive learned so much in so little time on this forum great job guys and thanks a lot, Derek North Judson, IN
