A World of Bass
Ok let's say there are like 198 countries in the whole world !! Ever wonder how many of them do have bass populations ? Of course I don't know it ! Here are the countries where I know catches of Bass have been documented .... (You can add yours if it's missing) ! Then we can see that the Bass really is a "Global" fish. So the fish we're after is the Largemouth Bass (either Micropterus Salmoides Salmoides, or Micropterus Salmoides Floridanus) : Austria Bosnia Brazil Canada China Croatia Cuba Cyprus France Guatemala Honduras Hungary Italy Japan Madagascar Mexico Morocco Philippines (The) Portugal South Africa South Korea Spain Switzerland United States (The) Vietnam Zimbabwe For now that is : 26 / 198 ..... ~13.1 % PS: Go ahead, I'll add the new ones !

That's some great piece of advice indeed ! Well if I could I would let the bass decide, but I want to make them a little surprise you know ! Don't tell them .... What's in the lake ? huuuh .... Ghost fish I never seem to catch ;D ! Well now I understand why there are Ghost Color at every tackle manufacturers :.... Bluegill could look nice too. Well too bad I can only have one. Thx for the compliments BTW

what size sammy does everyone use?
Wow Now we're talking ! Definitely one of the nicest smallmouth I have ever seen. And nice color too ! How big was that trophy ? As for the sammy I'm using... It all depends on the situation as it has been mentioned. But I tend to favor a sammy 100 most of the time. I like the 115 & 128 when I want to achieve slower slides and a slower Walking-the-dog. On the contrary I'll go to a 85, if I want faster action. Here we also use the 65 a lot for big yellow perch. And I remember having a lot of fun with the 65 on the Mississippi River in the St Cloud area (MN) .... even caught a good share of crappies on it, as well as a big largemouth buffalo (Yeah I thought I had the smallie of a lifetime :'( ). But yeah ! If I should keep only one... that would be the 100

OUD Custom Swimbait
Hi y'all, Well I'm new here but I've reading the forum for quite some time and I really appreciate all the great advice that one can get here. Thanks to each and every Bass Resource member. I also happen to carve lures when I have a little bit of time on my hand. Here's a new one. I am really bad a painting, so I haven't painted it yet. But I will find a classy Yellow Perch or Peacock Bass Pattern for it. What do you experts think ? Peacock Bass or Yellow Perch .(or anything else for that matter) PS: The plastic tail is not custom, it's a left-over from an old LC RealBait 128. But I guess it fits :

Lucky Craft Real Skin
Amen to that ! Basic pointers are tremendous jerkbaits... I especially love the DD 78 SP and the 100SP. As for the Real Skin version, well it's your call. Don't buy the marketing deliriums, like Swindle caught every single fish in the tank twice, and the fish would even ask for more : ! If you want them, and has the purchasing power to do it ... well we live in a free country. I know a bunch of people around me that bought some and won't even fish with them. Some bassfisher also tend to be collectors. : As for my personal opinion, I think it adds nothing fishing-speaking. It sure looks pretty. If you only have to by 1 pointer. Get a 100 SP in Aurora black. TL,

European Fishing
Max from France.... I have hear rumors of Micropterus salmoides floridanus in Portugal as well... but I really do believe that these are mere speculations! But I would love to have Floridanus closer ... like say Morocco sounds like a good country. They have them in South Africa, .. Ok Africa is quite big... but hey Morocco could be the european equivalent to Mexico !

germany bass
I'm not 100% sure of that but I think there are Hybrid stripers being caught somewhere in Germany. Well anyway, those seemed to be rare catch. Got any info on this T-rig ?

Cyprus - Bass Paradise
Dear fellow bassresource readers, First, let me introduce myself. I am Maxdal from France. I have been enjoying the website for a couple of times now, mostly reading as my Post count proves. But I guess 2008 calls for some change ! I thank the creators as well as all the participants of this noble enterprise to share the "gospel" of bass fishing around the globe for the amount of information they provided me with. Thanks again to all of you and most of all Tight lines ... 8-) I just read this thread on Cyprus bass fishing. I really feel sorry for you guys over there and the lack of rain. Hopefully it will change soon. As for the french record T-Rig mentioned, it was caught in southern france, released and thus not officially certified (in practice you're kinda forced to kill it if you want to have it registered, which sucks) Anyway, it remains, to this date, the biggest bass I have seen in Europe. Anybody can argue as to whether it was really a 11-pounder, but that's not my call. That fish is nice, period Too bad there ain't no real "Record Org." in Europe, at least one centralized org. with tight rules. Anyway, glad to be amongst you guys, See you on the water. Max
