  1. Like I said... kinda looks like a Puff-forelle now ! He he ... Hum, which crank from Duo ? Slaver MDR 55, MDR 63 ? SSR 63 ? 475 ? SR 55 (just kidding) Anyway, this bass sure qualifies as the ugliest I've ever seen ! @LBH, you're right and Dan also have some cheese up in his mountains from Heidi's land. As for the wine, I was in switzerland a short time ago.... nothing really interesting there ! No offense Dan,
  2. I thought B.A.S.S sanctionned tournaments had to comply with local fishing regulations too, but I also found like 2 or 3 bass that were weighed were fairly small... But I'm sure I'm wrong cause B.A.S.S knows the rules and I trust Mr Weldon on the issue. Still Jason Quinn had two fish on Day 3, that went 1lbs11oz. And Brian Easler on the co-angler side had a 0lbs12oz on day 3 too. Still better than nothing ! ;) BTW congrats to the Lane Family ! Bobby in third place and his bro in 5th. Not to mention Robert Lane on the co-angler side. Nice fishing legacy in the family ! 8-)
  3. Wow flawless bass ! Very nice color, perfect shape and perfect fins and tail ! No mark of whatever anywhere on the fish.... Beautiful fish. Congratulations on your new PB ! 8-)

  5. Hope you'll have a nice tournament. I know some of the famous italian spots ...like the Brenta river or the bolsena lake. Seems like you had quite some fun in Italy. I pity you.. Germany is not the best for fishing !
  6. Is this the contrast on the picture or maybe my own eyes... but the surrounding of this lake (or what's left of it) seems pretty green to me. The surrounding forests do not seems to be too much hit by the drough you're experiencing. I guess you guys also have unforseen low water tables ? Are those dams used for water stocking or for electricity production mainly ?
  7. Holy crap ! Sure gives a whole new meaning to the word "Forellenbarsch" Yours is way uglier than the one I showed. BTW, what did you catch her on ? Dynamit Stick ?
  8. That's really crazy ! I friend got almost all his bait boxes stolen from his locker too.... Had to be stolen by guys that new what it was..... i-e other fishermen ! It goess to proove they're scoundrels in the bass fishing world as well. I heard Charlie Hartley giving his thanks to all the pros that lend him rods and stuff. Seems like a couple of class guys to compete against and I hope Charlie Hartley has a bright future in the sport. He deserves it !
  9. wow a 8lber in front of guys entering a BASS Elite tourney .... That gotta hurt ! So the water level is low, which leads me to believe that the canals should be less accessible, and fewer fish are likely to be there too. You guys still have enough bedding fish to let somebody target them specifically..cause I thought the spawn happens earlier in Sunshine state ? Do you think there's already postspawn bass deeper ? And do you think someone could get away with deep postspawn bass ?
  10. Those kinds of bass you'll catch in southern France. Since you're familiar with the way the europeans tend to measure the size of their catches (I mean the length rahter than the weight). A fish that reaches 50 cm in length is a trophy in the middle part of France. In the south a fish between 55-60 cm is a real trophy and a 50cm bass is still a very nice fish. As for the rest of france, the average bass will be like 30-35cm This one was caught in the south ! @Skillet : Does your nickname comes from the music band Skillet... cause I really like what they're doing. Especially the song named Comatose. 8-)

Wow Nice Ugly Hammerhead ..... If I had a hammer I also started a thread about ugly fish quite some time ago, and I was surprised at the very few people that have caught ugly weird-looking fish ! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1203290191 Definitely the catch of a lifetime, that big shark ! 8-)
  12. Just read that they are not expecting big bags any longer...due to an unexpected cold front as it seems. As for the canals, it appears a lot of good limits were caught there in past tourneys, but they have been doing a lot of work on them. Any local here has Info on the water level ? Max
  13. :-X I admit, I loved the Pittsburg Classic. Granted, my wife and I were there and I was cheering for KVD, so that made didn't hurt, but I loved it. I also loved the spawning tournament with big weights the very next year. I just love the Classic. Wow nice to know I'm not alone ;D I'd hate to fish that river seeing how poor the bite was, but then again I loved to watch all the field struggle..... A nice win for KVD !
  14. Funny thread ! I've one every year around December..... Cause I usually buy pretty much all my tackle in December.... mainly restocking plastics, lines, terminal, access.... Not much of a compulsive buyer and I usually buy in bulk. So the end of the year in usually the time I'm dealing with lures and fishing stuff to buy.... sort of turns into an obsession ! And once in awhile I dream about picking up free expensive hardbaits from logs, timber, brush piles ..Etc in a reservoir right after the water has dropped. Funny stuff, all lures are usually brand new and available in different colors, every single tree looks like a christmas tree decorated with hardbaits....... Problem is I can't take them all, there's always more and more. In the end, I usually wake up and understand I don't really have those 4000+ hardbaits I just found in my sleep. what does it mean doc ?
  15. After your awesome "Good Morning from the Atlantic", here comes the "Good evening from the other side of the Atlantic" (on a pond though). PS : The pic was taken in 2007, we don't have leaves on the tree yet ! Looking forward to spring though. Oh and I just noticed I'm now a Junior on BR... I guess that's cool. Thx to all of you.
  16. Here's mine ! The comp is pretty new so not too much of a mess on the desktop yet : ! Just a question of time though.
  17. I had to cast my vote for others since the good old Jig is not in the list. In terms of productivity my choice would be a flippin' jig and in terms of pleasure that would also be flipping a jig. As for the trailer, I'll go with a Zoom super chunk for what I fish the most ....and a BigDaddyFrog Pork trailer (Uncle Josh) for pleasure of fishing (It's far from being a productive trailer for me... but I love it when I catch a bass on it.
  18. Dear eodbowhunter, Sorry for the late reply.... Don't want to kill you dreams but you ain't gonna experience the same bass fishing action here than the one you had in Italy. As a matter of fact, you can completely forget bass fishing in the northern part of france..........(see the map below) The yellow part (south) is where you can find bass pretty easily, the red part is where it's almost impossible (maybe 1 or 2 private spots) and the area in-between is where you'll find a couple of spots but mostly private too. Second, I know there might be a couple of fairly small ponds stocked with bass in the north-eastern part of France, but I'll have to check on that. Hope that helps......PM if you want more specific details. Max
  19. That's why I thought too .... I found that the line tie and the eyelet for the hook extend too much compared to my unique Huddleston. Love the color on the first pic though. But I already had chinese plastics to which the comments "these colors don't run" does not apply..... so it may be junk! Daniel, seems like you already have them, so just throw them...you'll quick enough what they're worth.
  20. They look real to me. Don't know if they're true Huddleston. I would say they are 6" Huddleston Deluxe.... ? Funny though, I've seen those colors on Huddleston. Chinese knock-offs maybe ?
  21. Tah ! You Betcha .... I'm a big fan of a the Deaf Borther Song. He really is a funny guy. Love his buddy Foxworthy and his Redneck words too. But I think we're drifting away... Back to IronSilk! Anybody can confirm the existence of white IronSilk ? GIT-R-DONE!!!!
  22. Not doubt Denny Brauer is one of the jig maestros.... but I think Dee Thomas invented flipping... as for pitching I don't know whether there's an "inventor" out there or not. One day, I hope I'll get to meet Denny Brauer
  23. I use bags for plastics. As for other tackle I store them in Plano 1444. I know many guys who hate that box because of the flipside inside. Takes some getting used to..... But I think it's a good box that allows you to have a little bit of everything when going tourney fishing from the back of the boat.... or even for a quick-organized fishing trip. This box is not too big and not too small either.
  24. Don't forget the Mepps Aglia in plain gold ..... Ok gotta say my judgment is biased somehow. French pride ! Well Mepps is no longer french for that matter.... But still a very effective in-line spinner. Give the LC bevy minnow and the Smith Camion a try (but they are expensive).
