Citrus Slam
And KVD takes the lead ...just as expected actually lol ! This guy is plain ...different. Pretty surprised that Kelly Jordon got skunked today. I think the wind didn't really help his fishing, since he was like sight fishing.

Detailed how to on making wooden swimbaits...
Well I'm nowhere near as good as some of the garage crafters of this forum, and I'm not a specialist with wooden swimbaits either... but I can show you how I usually link the different parts of my swimbaits. You should be able to understand it on this picture below ! (I will try to show a step-by-step approach after ).

Your Weakest Lure
Definitely the French Fry .... I just can't seem to use it ! Even on when fishing a C-Rig ! I've have a few packs though ...... As for types of lures I don't fish, or I'm weak at : that will have to be hard swimbaits.

Need help finding this buzzbait
You should post this in the "Fishing tackle" section, you would get more answers .... anyway, I agree with LakeannaBasser, I think this is the Leverage buzzbait you're talking about. And I don't think it's manufactured any longer, I think Booyah Baits Co. took over Leverage .... and now Booyah has a double-prop buzzbait that features the Leverage system. It's called the Booyah Bi-you. Check it out : http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=byby38685

HELP ME NAME MY BOAT!!!
If it's yellow ! The "Bassnana Split" ! My favorite dessert....

The Thick Stuff
If flipping thick matts, that will have to be a Zoom Grass craw or speed craw with 1oz and 50lb braid too. A jig and craw if the weed is thiner. As for submerged weed beds, I love to throw spinnerbaits and vibration. But I think you only want to know for thick stuff.... so yop flipping ! Sometimes I'll go with a hollow-body frog..... but I suck at frog fishing. Well, it helps me locate the fish on the missed strikes ;D

Need help explaining Catch and Release to someone
I would try to "responsibalize" him politely ! 4/5 bass a day on 7 days out of ... 7 ! That's like betw. 28 - 35 a week ! 112 - 140 a month ! Nobody can use that many fish..... giving fish to friends is ok, but you're not supposed to feed the whole city either. That's way too many. Ok alone, he's not going to dent the population on a big body of water. But I guess you have to explain to him what the whole picture looks like. He is not alone ! I would not directly tell him to stop ! You have to make him understand that first : - he should think about the future generations that would also like to enjoy the same sport he does. - that we're still predators, but we kill in our own ways. We've chosen to live in a consumerism society (like it or not, we take benefit from it) but we should also accept the fact that it has an impact on the environnement ..... So we are still "harvesting" fish (pollution kills ...Etc). Taking less than he currently does will help the fishery. -He is not alone ! One man alone can't empty the ocean, yeah. Problem, we're not alone. Taking 5 fish is legal, it's his right. But people often focus too much on their own rights, and tend to forget/not see that there are duties and common sense that go with each and every right. Most important, remain polite or he will take it personally and start killing 10 bass a day ;D

This site is painfully SLOOOW!!!!
well, runs fine here ! Actually, I've rarely seen a fishing forum of that size that runs quite like this one. Thanks again to the team for its very good managment! I've got a broadband access in France, and as for the Ike video .... the streaming went perfect ! @Tn Hills: I think they know what they're doing. As for the site running slow on your comp, you might want to run a check for spywares and that sort of things on your own computer. Those things can dramatically slow your system down. Just my ¢2 !

Lure Quizz !
Not a Rago mouse ..... yet, that's where the inspiration came from for the Japanese manufacturer who makes this one. This one is smaller in size than a Rago.

Citrus Slam
Well Kelly Jordon just took the lead with a nice bag on day two ! 44lbs 3oz ..... go Kelly ! Wow and KVD in third place ... I'm gonna love the two days that are left..... KVD ! KVD !

Citrus Slam
Byron Velvick is still leading for now ... I was pretty surpised too yesterday. That's sort of a come-back for him.

Lure Quizz !
Never tried the slider on bass ... I don't use it much anyway ! Here's the next lure ! We're going back to the land of the rising sun ...

Netbait Swimbait!
Good info thanks ! Do you know if this is going to be another Paddle tail tube Basstrix swimbaits ? (Where have all the designers gone ;D ? ) Hopefully, it will be just as good as the Paca craw indeed.

Lure Quizz !
Wow AvalonJohn ! That was a tough one ! I guess we learn something new everyday... Now I know the Paul Bunyan Bait Company . Thanks ! As for your lure, Bass_fin@tic ! This is a Salmo Slider in RSH color. A classic bait for pike-fishing in europe I think. Is that right ?

Pretty Easy Spawn Question
I think the bass will spawn in water depths that range from 1 to 15 feet; 15 feet being a rare maximum (maybe like in tidal systems). But I think the normal depth for bed is like 1 1/2 to 3 feet. I think the water clarity has something to do with the hatching of the eggs.... And the hatching itself has something to do with water temperature, I think (not a 100% sure though) Well stained waters are known to warm up kicker that gin-clear waters. But in clear water and in like 3 feet of water, the bottom is also pretty exposed to the sun, which I guess helps the hatching too.

Jerkbait suggestion?
@BassnBrett : There is actually no such thing as a Pointer 68, but rather the Pointer 65 which is 65mm long (more like 2"5), the 78 is 3" long, the 100 is 4 and the 128 like 5". Over here you also get the Pointer 48. (lure for trout fishing, or panfish for that matter) Here's something that can help people buying on the internet ! B'Freeze (Europe & Japan) = Pointer (in the US) Three different types of lip: - the normal - LB (Long bill) Europe & Japan = DD (Deep Diving) In the US - SR/SB = Short runner or Short Bill (not available in the US) a tad shorter than the normal Different weights : ES = Extra Sinking (only available in 78) S = Sinking SP = Suspending F = Floating So in : Size 48 : normal lip, or long bill (LB) / available in S, SP, F (there has been a Pointer 48 ES (Extra Sinking)... but that was rather a collectible "Factory tuned") Size 65: normal lip, short bill (SB), long bill (LB=DD) / available in S, SP, F Size 78 : normal lip, short bill (SB), long bill (LB=DD) / available in ES, S, SP, F Size 100 : normal lip, long bill (LB=DD) / available in S, SP Size 128 : normal lip / avaible in SP Hope it helps somehow ! In the US, you will only find the SP models I think. (in size 65 / 78 / 100 / 128) The Pointer/B'Freeze is by far the most complicated lure from Lucky Craft when it comes to the number of different models and names. The best all-around Pointer remains the : Pointer 78 SP What about those Smithwick ? I've never tried one. We don't get them here. :-/

LUCKY CRAFT
Yop good baits ! But don't buy just any LC if this is your first try. They have top-producers like any other brands that should help you gain confidence in the brand. But they also have bait that are more situation-specialized (don't know how to say that in proper english, sorry) For instance, I'm a huge fan of the Splash-tail but I wouldn't advise it as a first purchase, since it's rather a specialised bait, which use is time-limited. Go with either : - Pointer 78 or 100 in Suspending (for jerkbaits) - Rick Clunn Cranksbait - Sammy or Gunnish (for topwater) I hope it helps !

Ok guys In response to Glenn interview
That's really nice of you, Glenn, to clarify the situation. After all, apart from Ike himself, you're the only one who really knows what he was doing on that particular day. I fully understand that when you say he'd rather keep the infos secret untill the tournament was over. Normal ! Again this interview with the pictures attached was really great. Too bad you were not able to film him ... next time maybe! 8-)
-
Lure Quizz !
Well, this is up to you... there is no such thin as a time-limit on this game. I remember playing this game on a french fishing website (which I left because of the absence of moderators :-X). And one bait came out, nobody found what it was. The topic went down on the forum, I came accross it, knew what the bait was and gived the thread a new life ;D. But sure, if you want to keep the topic alive, you can tell us and maybe like put another one for us to struggle 8-). Your call !

Jerkbait suggestion?
Yop the LC Pointer is a classic. I would advise the 78 SP.... Pretty easy to work ! Twitch, pause, twitch, twitch, jerk, pause .... etc. The X-rap is not bad either. I usually use natural colors, because I mostly use them in clear water.

Sure things about bass fishing!
The bass will always be the most active and bursting on the surface when you're not able to cast anything. Like say, you're strolling along the shoreline with your girl, your family.... If you ever manage to find a rod somehow, they will sure be gone the minute you cast. And Bass grow by ounces.... never had a bass that weighed 1lb 10oz and 1/2 oz : Well for some of my friends they only grow by pounds, they either catch a 5-pounder, or it's a 6-pounder Even on a perfect day of bass fishing, there will be something going wrong, which actually helps appreciating the beauty of bass fishing even more. :

Lure Quizz !
Hum that's a tough one ! Kinda looks like a hybrid between a river runt, a South Bend O-reno and CCBCo Pikie. ;D I have no idea on that one.

Interview with Mike Iaconelli
Very good interview indeed. Thank you Glenn. You know, it's a good interview when you don't hear that many product names...... I even heard, "we don't have magic baits, or magic rods...". That's a good honnest reply. Thanks again Glenn. The pictures are really good too. 8-)

Ok guys In response to Glenn interview
rods : I've noticed either Steez (SVF Graphite & SVF Complie X) or L&T . Reels : Steez or TD Luna. Baits, hum a lot of swimbaits and paddle tubes for swiming with what looks like A.M Scrounger heads. Funny way to rig a Berkley Beast on that scrounger head too. I've never tried a vertical Berkley beast. I've also seen a Inch-wacky type jighead somewhere. Right hand reels for pretty much everything. (I can't use right hand reels for cranking myself). As for fishing, well seems to be either cranking pretty deep, or targeting docks and floating docks with jigs and crank on the outside. Is he following an old deep river bed on his depthfinder in 40-50 feet of water ? And Lowrance everywhere, like 4 sets ! Looks like it wasn't really warm on that day too.

South Park Season 12!
Very good episode ! "-We're not just sure, we're HIV positive. -Will you stop with that .... -Sometimes you need to stay HIV positive, but if you wanna be so HIV negative all the time .. -Cartman, Knock it off, nooow ! This isn't funny at all. - Are you sure ? - Yes ! - Are you ... HIV positive ?" Funniest part. Well the issue with cash was pretty good too. Max
