Got two decent bass today, both off of baby brush hog in green pumpkin. One of the kids had something similar in black n blue ended up with 3 after he saw what I was using. Good evening of fishing. Plastics continue to be my best way of hooking fish especially bass.

That is what I mean, family cabin up there. Back when I was a kid we caught bass under docks with live frogs hooked from the tail end. Should be a good time, thanks gimruis.

Heading north to the Brainerd Lakes area for the 4th, some new lures and lots of free time. Heck I can even get out on a boys now too! I'll be on bay lake, any recommrndations for lures up north or same thing for down here.

Today after getting off from work I headed straight to the lake and walked over to a spot where I had seen some decent bass before. Tossed my line in with a 5" Gary Y senko in green watermelon texas rigged, this was the result of my first cast. Caught a smaller one then that was it. My guess on weight 2-3lb range. I had seen a muskrat about a minute or two before casting so I had thought I'd hooked him, then realized it was a fish a decent fish at that! I was in disbelief when I reeled it in lol! Nice way to start my days off.

No boat guys, doing this from shore. One member has offered to take me out.

Where can I person fish that isn't crowded and in the metro. Everywhere I go people just flock to the spots. The Mississippi is about that isn't crowded.

Hi, Names Nathan and from Duluth, MN however transplanted for schooling in Minneapolis, MN. Long time angler however this is my first year going for bass specifically and I have only caught 1 bass all season so far. I'm primarily fishing from shore too. Learning the lakes around the area and where is the best places to fish from the shore. This bass is from Lake Josephine in Roseville area, this was before opener and I was pitching a squarebill crankbait.

New guy here, transplanted from Duluth to Minneapolis for school. I have one bass all season, but I'm shore fishing primarily which limits me greatly. Still looking for lakes, think I need to pick a lake and work it till I learn. I'm new at the bass game too, but been a long time angler. My only bass so far.
