Bass fishing on hold for now!
And I was getting annoyed with 2"... good luck with all that snow!

Unfortunate incident with fellow angler.
Oh man it would be so fun to pull out the .45 and put a few holes in his hull for him, but you definitely did the right thing. I can honestly say I've never had anybody, other than my nephew, pull crap like that. Generally people will go out of their way to make sure they don't mess up your fishing.

It Happened Last Night
This led to people being attacked by African bullfrogs... it was quite hysterical Sounds just awful... I really wish you could hear the amount of sarcasm I'm putting into this one, I think you'd be impressed!

Am I normal?
You're definitely not normal, but you obviously like to fish so I'm ok with it...

Well I'm not sure what eats a 7' bluegill in Indiana, but I'm a little excited and very terrified to find out!

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Yeah my wife looked at that swimbait and said nothing would bite that around here. I want to chuck it all day just to try and prove her wrong, she said the same thing about the Yamamoto heart tail swimbaits, just as I got hit on one

Using a moderate fast for treble hooks
Yeah I was thinking the 7' mh would be the ticket. I've read a lot about his rods, pretty interesting that they all have slower action.

Using a moderate fast for treble hooks
I have a medium heavy fenwick hmg and I'm looking to get another casting rod for lighter baits. I found the okuma Scott Martin rods and the 7' medium heavy/ moderate fast has a lure weight rating of 3/16-3/4 ounce. My thoughts are that it would be good for treble hook baits, leaving my fenwick for heavier, single hook baits. So what do you guys think? Sound like a solid plan?

Mikes Lunker Lotion???
I've heard of using vasoline on soft swimbaits, in fact my mattlures bluegill recommended some sort of lube to help keep the bait from tearing, so there might be something to it?

First Sign of Spring

Got $20 cash back from DSG, the jerkbaits were on clearance for $3, and I finally broke down and bought a whopper plopper.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I guess I'm not either, technically. My beautiful bride paid for it, so even though it's titled and registered under my name, I guess it her boat

plano 3771 thin box review
How would it work for terminal tackle? Will 5/0 EWG hooks fit? I have all my stuff in a regular 3700 box, but I could definitely use a thinner one if it will hold everything.

Unique fishing day
Was just watching YouTube videos of geese attacks last year there was a flock that took up residence on a small public pond I fish, it doesn't get very many people cause it's a solid mile walk. Those geese were very polite and well behaved, they had babies with them and they didn't seem overly concerned about my presence. Seems the less exposed to people they are the less aggressive they are.

Have you seen the claws on those feet? No thank you. They grab you with the beak, stick the claws in and beat the crap out of you with those wings!

Unique fishing day
I'd take the loon and swan over a Canada goose any day! I stumbled out of some brush I was less than gracefully crashing through coming about 6 inches from mama goose on her nest she was not a happy mama, I'm sure to her I looked like a drunk bear coming out of that brush!

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Well I'd take fishing in the wind over working any day, but man it sure is frustrating trying to fishing and keep the boat in one place, at least you caught a few. I did see a couple older gentlemen fishing a small public pond in Plainfield, didn't look like they were having much luck though.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
There's a couple videos on YouTube that show different rod holders. I guess you could make a small rod locker in the bottom but then you're going to sacrifice already minimal floor space.
