  1. Check out the bass raider also, same price, but from what I read they are much more stable. They will also hold more weight, 600 pounds vs. 400+ with a 10' jon boat. They are 48" wide so they will fit in the back of a pickup.
  2. Well there's no denying God's sense of humor
  3. There's a lot of those. I have a wright McGill spinning rod, it's a great rod, nice sensitivity and all that, but it doesn't show up on the wright McGill website. I had a shimano that wasn't on shimanos website either. I broke that one casting a weightless senko... I kinda understand why they don't advertise it now
  4. I would just go buy some 3M spray glue and reinforce with some 3/8" staples. Pull the carpet back then staple and the piling should hide the staple just fine.
  5. I think my wife has some Colby Jack sticks, I wonder if she'll mind me putting them back after I use them?
  6. My dad on his new pontoon boat. He passed away later that month, but we spent that week fishing together. My mom, she hadn't been fishing for years. My daughter with her pb largemouth. My son examining my catches.
  7. I wish they offered these in left hand. I love my pflueger president spinning reel but I just can't do a right hand baitcaster.
  8. ? oh crap I have to delete that Craigslist ad??
  9. I think I'm going to sell my new fenwick rod now
  10. My wife got me started watching this. I'm definitely not a sci-fi fan, but this show had us hooked. Glad to know there's some exciting places to go see in Indiana again to
  11. How are your brakes set? First time out with my new baitcaster last fall and I wasn't getting any distance. I felt like an idiot a couple days later when I realized I had the magnetic brakes cranked up all the way
  12. I remember seeing Johnson reels in the hardware store when I was a kid that said "Casts a Country Mile" I think that was the first time I'd ever heard of that expression, my young mind was wondering why a mile in the country was longer than a mile in the city?
  13. I usually hide them in random places to scare the crap out of my wife I keep my senkos to use on a wacky rig.
  14. For you guys that have boats, I'm going to be getting a small boat to use on electric only lakes. I know you have to go to the bmv to register it, and I read about the lake permit for certain state run parks and lakes, but don't you have to have a launch permit? I know we had to have the sticker on our boat we had when I was a kid that had a boat on a ramp, do they still do that? Btw, if it matters, it won't be on a trailer, I'm getting a pelican bass raider.
  15. Man, you are a honest guy, and almost poetic with words. That almost... alllmost made me want to work for you, I think the idiotic coworkers is what really made me want it
  16. Thank you, I assumed it would be. While I think the jon would have more potential for storage options, I think I'm going to stick with the 10e.
  17. Its not quite that bad around here, but most of the kids that drive are driving newer cars than my '99 Ford F-Rust50!
  18. Afford a bass boat??? In high school??? Jeez, I'm almost 40 and can't afford a bass boat... just when I was starting to feel good about myself if you can't drive, how long until you can? Just starting to drive is not the time to learn to haul a heavy trailer. Do you have any experience driving with a trailer? Can you afford all the expenses that come with a truck and boat? Annual license plates and registration for the boat, not to mention outrageous insurance costs for a young man in a new (?) truck, and insurance costs for the boat?
  19. My first square bills, I'm looking forward to trying them out on creek smallies. A rattletrap, I'm looking forward to ripping grass with it, and a suspending crank my wife said was pretty and would catch fish. Honestly, I let her pick out a lot of lures, she has a knack for finding "the one"
  20. Ok guys, my wonderful bride has given me the thumbs up for a bass raider 10e, we looked at them in a store tonight and she thinks the 12' Jon boat would be better. I noticed that it does look roomier, since we would occasionally bring our young (3) son with us. I think the bass raider will be much more stable, and it has almost 100 pounds more capacity. Anyone have experience with both that can offer some insight?
  21. The first is my three year old entertaining himself while I fish, a truly rare occurrence. The second is at the Owen-Putnam forest, a very secluded spot but I had a good time with my son.
  22. Better safe than sorry. In my opinion it's better to leave it at home than risk jail time just for crossing an imaginary line.
  23. Mr. Yamamoto recommends a 3/0 hook with senkos
  24. That's pretty awesome of you txhawgs!
