  1. I only have two bucket list places, okeechobee and Toledo bend. I had a subscription to BASS when I was a kid and got to read all about them. I'd wanted to fish them ever since.
  2. I tried braid on a pflueger I have... it was not pretty!
  3. Dang it, I was really hoping to not have to put holes in this thing. I think I'm going to try some industrial self stick Velcro. Maybe cut some pvc pipes in half and put the Velcro around it so I don't have to put holes in it.
  4. That's kinda weird, my lfs doesn't have any play in it with the drag backed all the way off. I wonder if the nut is loose under the cap on your handle?
  5. I noticed when I was shopping for my first baitcaster that the lews lfs is made in China and the tournament mb is made in Korea. I wonder why they use different locations?
  6. Definitely need some senkos, they are awesome Texas rigged and weightless. I never had much luck with crankbaits from the bank, way to many weeds to try to get through.
  7. Man I've been on a budget so long my dreams are affordable
  8. I use 20# power pro. I haven't had any issues, but I'd probably go a little lighter next time just to get all the casting distance I can.
  9. It's a Wright & McGill dropshot rod, 7'2" medium fast. It's a cheaper one from Walmart, but I really like it.
  10. You can use a leader with micro guides, just a FYI. My spinning setup has micro guides and I use around a 6' leader. I've had it catch a couple times, and it makes a little noise if you get it into the guides but I haven't had enough issues to not use one.
  11. My next one is going to be a lees tournament mg or daiwa tatula Ct, I haven't made my mind up yet, then a medium fenwick hmg. I have a lews lfs on a medium heavy hmg, I'm probably going to put it on the medium and put the new reel on the MH.
  12. Prices are about the same here in Indiana. Unfortunately I went in today and snagged several bags of flukes for $1.18, but all, ALL the hooks except the eagle claw panfish and snelled hooks are gone. I'm not sure if they are getting different brands or what, they did start carrying some vmc stuff
  13. Huh hum... brands of trolling motors
  14. Try the U2 version, they look awesome but they are a lot cheaper.
  15. So basically female bass are complete tramps and will lay their eggs in any studly males nest without thinking twice?
  16. So what are you guys using for rod storage? I've seen a few on YouTube that have a top on them to hold the rods securely. I'm concerned my 3 year old will think throwing my rods in the water will be a good idea!
  17. Might try posting over here also. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum/15-northeast-bass-fishing/
  18. Are you wearing polarized glasses? Those will definitely help, around here it seems like most of them that I see are pretty shallow when they are on the beds.
  19. Put your tailgate down if there's room, and you can attach a pole to the back corner of the trailer so you can see where it is in your mirror.
  20. And for that split second when you say to yourself "it's a big' un!" Then you realize it's just another wooden fish
  21. I've got the same setup, one of each. I have 20 pound braid on my spinning reel, mostly because there's no line twist with it, and I'm running 50 pound braid on my baitcaster. I'm sure you can run lighter on the baitcaster, it just happened to be what I had handy.
  22. I doubt he is going to have anything negative to say since they sponsor him.
  23. frosty replied to Zeeter's topic in Fishing Tackle
Tackle warehouse has a great selection of back pack style bags.
  24. I can't add to anything anyone has said but I find this website helpful for learning new knots http://www.***.com/fishing_knots well if you google net knots .com into your browser it should get you there
  25. Well I'm joining the plastic boat club. Picked up a 10E today at dicks sporting goods. I'm looking at a 40lb thrust trolling motor. I've got plans to make a small box to hold about 10 +/- 3700 series boxes that will sit under the back seat, and I picked up a small Rubbermaid tote that will go under the front seat to keep my soft plastics in. I'll post pics when I get the box all done.
