  1. I drove by eagle creek reservoir this afternoon, I'd guess the rollers were 2 foot with whitecaps looked pretty vacant though!
  2. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure hauling it that way wouldn't hurt the boat, as for making turns with your travel trailer, you might need to experiment with that. How long is the tongue on the trailer?
  3. Neither did I, to be honest I didn't pay a whole lot of attention either. I was just happy my first one of the year was over a pound
  4. You'll be good with either one, just check out the proper hook set style for the ewg, grab some senkos and catch some bass ??
  5. I usually just use the regular ones, but my experience with the ewg hooks is I missed more fish with them. There is a technique to setting the hook with them, it's on here somewhere, search ewg hook set and see if it comes up
  6. Yeah some people swear by them, some hate them, I personally don't use them much but I have a few.
  7. Yeah, I think it might be, but I've never seen one up close, I'll just let you guys verify it for me.
  8. Probably extra wide gap hooks. The bend in the back of the hook is bigger, leaving more room for thicker soft plastic baits. Either will likely work. Edit: at those prices I would definitely be stocking up.
  9. These came out of big Walnut Creek
  10. Ya know that's the first thing that popped into my mind to. I caught another one that was smaller that the colors were even more pronounced. We don't have spots in Indiana do we? i guess we do. Who knew... apparently just me here's a better picture, let me know what you think
  11. First bass of 2017! She weighed in at 1.41. I caught a few more smaller lmb, and caught one smallmouth that was very, very golden. All the colors of these bass were very rich and vibrant, must be the cold creek water?
  12. http://m.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Hellgrammite/product/1305230801412/ these are 3". Probably be great on a dropshot
  13. Did they ship them by air? I've never received anything broken like that but I did have it explained to me that with liquid sometimes the cabin pressure in the jets can break the bottles or compromise the seal.
  14. Not me massyak, I don't even own a whopper plopper
  15. You guys are a bad influence... ?
  16. Are you trying to imply we can't catch bass in Indiana with an 8" lure???
  17. I really like the feel of my HMG in hand, I can't wait to get out and fish with it, it's been an awful wait since Christmas
  18. I was waiting on my wife to get out of the movie theater, I so I hit up DSG and gander mountain. It's her fault, she left me to my own devices! After seeing the comments on the jawbone sunfish in another thread I thought I'd give it a try. Won't be a big loss if it's junk.
  19. Here's what I would do first before attaching anything to the boat. I would wipe the area down really good with isopropyl alcohol, then apply your registration numbers/letters, then using a hair dryer, go over each letter slowly to help soften the adhesive and vinyl to help it more easily conform to the surface. Don't rub the letters as that could stretch them, just apply pressure, preferably with a rag over your finger, this may or may not work but it won't be permanent if it doesn't work and you need to remove it.
  20. True, but if a guy was single, man that would be the life
  21. Can't they fish both organizations? I believe Ish Monroe does this. Why wouldn't a guy want to do that instead of limiting himself to one organization if it's possible?
  22. I caught my pb on a spincast, the bass don't care what kind of equipment you're using. I have since stepped up to a better spinning reel and baitcaster, but I still haven't beat my pb.
  23. I've got some pro senkos that are 6" long that say they are naturally buoyant, they have less salt, they are intended for shaky head, but I bet they would work pretty good for this.
  24. That's a great story. I had a dream the other night that I was fishing with my beautiful bride and she caught a big one, so I convinced her to hold it so I could take her picture, when the fish flopped, she screamed and fell out of the boat. I woke myself up laughing after realizing she had on her pfd.
