  1. Must have jet boat. Allen
  2. I have a Bart Simpson lure that has actually caught some fish. His head did break off on a cast though which made the lure run better. Allen
  3. For Black Hills and Cunnigham Falls you only need 3 colors: Green Pumkin, Watermelon, and smoke. Allen
  4. Chatterbaits and yes I have given them a fair chance. Allen

  6. I don't know why I quit using the slug-go? When I was a teenager it was my #1 bait and has caught me hundreds of fish. Allen
  7. A lot of crankbaits are made out of balsa as it is very buoyant. Things to know about balsa: there are different levels of hardness/density, it is very forgiving as far as ballasting, more fragile that other wood. I have made a few crankbaits but it is tough to get both sides even on the blank. Now the only ones I make are D-Bait style out of blanks I buy from Janns or Barlows. Allen
  8. Personally I like Owner ultrahead bullet one better. Allen
  9. They are one piece so you don't have to full with multiple pieces like bobber stop, bullet weight, hook. Allen
  10. Bear hair is my favorite but since I suck at tying I get someone else to tie them for me. Allen
  11. Big Slackwater and Four Locks are the only places you can run a fiberglass boat in the UP. With that said you need to know how far upriver you can safely run. Slackwater stop at the Potomac Fish and Game club and Four Locks stop at McCoy's ferry until you get to know the river better. Allen
  12. Weedless Pro Football Jighead Allen
  13. Wal-Mart or Dick's still has some of those Terminator buzzbaits here in Hagerstown. As for Booyah they use Mustad hooks on their baits. Allen
  14. I use both GP and brown heads on a brown skirt depending on what I am trying to match. The link below shows the different crayfish in your area which I use as a color base. The craws around here are brown or brown with GP claws/tail (Rusty Crayfish) and I try to match them. Allen http://iz.carnegiemnh.org/crayfish/country_pages/species_by_state.htm
  15. They changed the name of the show. I will be there both days trying to sell some of the "extra" tackle that has accumulated in my basement over the years. The River Rock Bassmasters are having their 13th annual flea market at the; Washington County Ag Center 7313 Sharpsburg Pike Boonsboro, MD 21713 On January 16 and 17. The Ag center is located about 10 minutes South of the Hagerstown Outlets (Exit 29 on Rt 70.) Allen
  16. That is what I use to do back in the day. From the bridge if you go west it was better fishing. Allen
  17. I fished there several times since I use to live close by. A lot of those fallfish but I did catch some small SM. White Roostertail spinners are what worked best. Allen
  18. Suspending or the Super Rogue for cooler water and the floating Rogue for the summer. Allen
  19. Smithwick Rogue Rapala Husky Jerk Allen
  20. I have yet to see a Pointer SP knock off? All the fake LC baits that I saw on ebay were slender pointers. Allen
  21. What are you running that through to wear the paint off the nose? I have a few battle scared traps but nothing with that kind of wear pattern. Allen
  22. Melting temp: Lead = 620 Tin = 450 Bismuth = 520 http://www.rotometals.com/lead-free-pewter-casting-metal-s/23.htm Pewter works but the density is less than lead. Lead has a density of 11.34 g/cm3 while tin's is only at 7.29 g/cm3. Allen
  23. There is a company that sells lead, tin, bismuth, etc. in different mixtures. Tin melts at a much lower temp than lead (400 v 600) so you will just need to turn the pot temp down. For a quick test try pouring some lead free solder wire as it is mostly tin. Allen
  24. http://store.do-itmolds.com/Worm-Nose-JigbrSz-332-18-316-14-516brHk-570-or-575brCollar-Double-Barb_p_558.html Find someone who has this mold and see if they can pour some heads out of tin/bismuth mix. I would check with Seibert first but someone has to have this mold. Allen

Weedless Pro Football jigheads from LPO is what Buckeye uses and the more you buy the cheaper they are. As for living rubber I have used the regular in the past but do not care for LR in general. Strand count is a personal preference or you can just count the strands on the factory bait? Allen
