Maryland's Who's who!
What's up guys ? I got a chance to go back to little Seneca this morning , it was a rough morning with water Temps back in the 40's and still stained. I still managed to catch a few on swimbaits and spinnerbaits . If anyone goes there later today, post what you encounter as far as temp and activity goes. I was there at 6:00 and the temp didn't budge buy noon, so I called it . Hopefully going back out in a couple days .

Maryland's Who's who!
What's up guys ? Made it back to little Seneca myself early this morning . I launched off right at 6:00 and was able to get to the area I wanted to fish before the sun broke the horizon . Interested thing is with it being prespawn and water temp right at 50 degrees the fish were extremely active . Breaking the surface , chasing bait , etc. That's something I haven't seen to often. Anyway , if anyone is going this weekend bring spinnerbaits . I caught another handful of fish in the 2 to 3 pd range with this nice anchor.

Maryland's Who's who!
Hey Guys , went to little Seneca today for a couple hours , water is still stained with 50 degree average water temperature , did find some 54 degree water. Caught a handful of fish all on a spinnerbait, which I love to fish but kinda got away from the last couple years. Talked to a couple guys at the landing and they caught em on spinnerbaits as well . So next time you go you might wanna bring a few .

Maryland's Who's who!
Just got back from black hills, water temperature is around the 50 degree mark depending on where your at on the lake. They're starting to move around, water is still a little stained in some areas but still managed to catch a couple.

Maryland's Who's who!
To reply on the topic of big fish in black hills, I did ok there last fall , caught 3 in the 4 to 5 pd range. There's actually a guy in the last issue of bassmaster magazine sporting a 10 pounder he caught there last year.

Maryland's Who's who!
Sounds good, need to get out on the water. Thanks for the update on the lake, I've drove from hagerstown before to go out there only to find ice.

I didn't think black hills opened until the 1st for personal boats. I've been waiting for the 1st to get out there.

Jig Fishing With Copolymer?
I'm a huge fan of fluorocarbon line and use it almost exclusively when not using braid. I spooled up copolymer this winter not only on moving baits , but on my bottom contact baits as well and am happy with the performance. The colder the water the more ( brittle ) fluorocarbon seems to get. At least that's what I've experienced. Copolymer has a better resistance to cold water conditions than fluorocarbon, and for me is a better all round preformed than monofilament.

shoreline fishing Maryland
Hey guys, apologies for the delay in responding to the members that sent me some messages. I've spent some time on the lakes in the area, I wanting to get some time on the Potomac. Moved here in Hagerstown a few years ago from south Carolina, and just started getting the time to fish in little seneca, big pool, etc a couple yes ago. For some reason I'm not getting alerted when receiving messages here, I'm still learning the site I guess. I just got an email for an invite to fish a tournament on the Potomac on the 7th of February, (weather permitting of course ) so I'd like to pre fish a couple times before launch off. Thanks for the info nate, md bow hunter, and others. I guess I'll be looking into investing in a Jon boat sometime this year.
