  1. They are the most fragile soft plastic made from my experience. That said they really work when fished on the right jighead. The BPS worms are more durable and work just not as well on a tough bite. Allen
  2. That might work for the Kemps Mill dam but Dam #5 you will need more than a helmet. Allen
  3. Learn where the dams are before you go out on any floats. Allen
  4. If something really works I stock up. Allen
  5. Check with the guy that just posted the 9k lbs on a trailer. Allen
  6. Paper clips work and I can cure the bullet weights by hanging them. Allen
  7. I have at least 8 different spinnerbait boxes that all work depending on how many baits I plan on carrying. Wal-Mart sells a small one that holds a few (6-9) baits that I use when wading or have to carry minimal tackle. Remember the Maryland rule for spinnerbaits: any color works as long as it is white. Allen
  8. You can powder paint them but it is hard to paint them without painting the hole shut. Normally I just rattle can them with black or OD primary and call it good enough. The spray paint doesn't hold up as well but if I am using them instead of tungsten it means I plan on losing a lot of them. Allen
  9. Depending on how thick you make the skirt will determine the fall rate. Allen
  10. Have you thought about trying the worm insert rattles and putting them in the trailer? Allen
  11. I have one of those Bayou Boogie lipless baits, wonder if it worth anything? Allen
  12. Launched out of Slavins and most of the guys stayed in Mattawoman but I tried the main river. The past several years low tide has been horrible in the creeks so I tried the main river which hurt me. The gut that won stayed in the creek and caught all his fish in like the first hour. Allen
  13. You did better than my trip to the Lower Potomac as I only caught one fish. Allen
  14. What are you doing that a .060 hook isn't strong enough? If you are catching bass that are that big then when are you inviting me up for a fishing trip. Allen
  15. Basser89 only fishes like twice a year now and there are no fish to be found within 50 miles of Hagerstown. Allen
  16. I bought two of them to try this year because of all the clear water in the summer. This year the water has been at least stained every time I fished from rain. Maybe this fall I will get a chance to actually use them? Allen
  17. It was said to be a custom 30 degree 6/0 hook that was originally designed for tuna according to what I read. Allen
  18. From what I remember reading somewhere they are a custom made hook. The closest thing you will find is on ebay someone was selling 35 degree 5/0 Gama hooks. Allen
  19. Are you talking about the boaters safety course? I took mine online like 10 years ago and no-one has ever ask to see the card. Loading and unloading just takes some practice that's all. Allen
  20. Zorn is the biggest name for custom molds and has been in the business for awhile. http://www.zornmolds.com/ Allen
  21. I use the colored ball tags and just put in a tag then toss them in the livewell. Darker colored tags for bigger fish and lighter colors for smaller ones in general. Once I get 5 I worry about culling but fishing has been so tough this year it hasn't happened. Allen
  22. Just those BPS hooks that give you the problems. In hindsight I believe the rod you were using wasn't heavy enough for the way we were fishing. Allen
  23. Setting the hook does not work well with those circle hooks. I had the same problem but it is hard to "un-learn" setting the hook. Just reel and apply pressure as they will hook themselves like a drop shot rig. Allen
  24. The best answer. Allen
