You were supposed to man up and lip the first one caught. That looks like a natural muskie to me based on the ones I have caught because the stripes on the side are not as dark. Allen

That silent KVD SK 5 series in gizzard shad is my #1 deep diving crankbait period. Now I know it will only hit like 13' but there is not a lot of places to deep crank around here. Allen

Lizards and French fries are what I use the most but every soft plastic I have tried has worked. Allen

Don't forget a black bait with a single Colorado blade for night fishing. I build most of my own baits but the SK midnight special with the black blade is my go-to bait for night fishing. Allen

Depending on what the wife has going I am fishing either Black Hills or Piney Run sometime this weekend. The river is shot and the small local lake will be overrun with trout fishermen. Allen

Add a jerkbait and you should be set until you learn more about the lake. Allen

For that range my #1 bait is a SK 5 series in gizzard shad or chart. blue back. These will run you about $6 each and they out fish any other bait including LC for me. For the 5-10' range I would also look at some Bandit 200 or 300 baits which cost about the same. Allen

Anyone been Black Hills lately? looking for a water temp and clarity for the place? My club tournament maybe moved there for Sunday and I need to figure out what to bring. Allen

Cast a 1/4oz bank sinker where you want to know the depth and let it fall on slack line. The sinker falls at a rate of about 1' per second so just start counting until you see the line go limp. Allen

I do a lot of junk fishing so I carry more than I need just in case. On average about 12 rods but my record was 27 (with rod sleeves you can get a lot of rods in a locker). This weekends tournament I only plan on taking 6-8 rods which is about as minimal as I get. Allen

What about that massive 80lb Minnkota you had hooked until the line broke! Hopefully I can actually catch a fish this weekend and not another case of wind burn? Allen
