Mix And Match Jig Trailer
I have simplified it down to using about 3 or 4 jig colors but only two trailer colors most of the time. Jigs I like; black, brown, and green or a combination of the 3 for most of my fishing. Trailers are GP or black but I do use 3 different styles depending on the action I am looking for. I can tell you that a brown jig with a green pumkin trailer really works around here. I am guessing because it looks like a virile crayfish that can be found in most bodies of water. Allen

Maryland's Who's who!
Are you trying to catch bass or trout? I have not fished there so if you can describe the water maybe myself or someone else can suggest an approach? Fishing this time of year can be frustrating so don't give up after two hours. Allen

Roboworms
Other baits work as well or better for me so I rarely use Roboworms anymore. Allen

What Is The Wierdest Lure You've Caught Bass On?
Gummy worm, brass swivel, DS sinker. Allen

Jackall Flick Shake Worm
In that situation I would just use a weightless Zoom swamp crawler instead of a Jackall bait. One to two feet of water does not give the bait much time to wiggle on the fall. Allen

What Size Reel Would You Get? Denali Ds Rod
I would stick with the 20 size personally? I use both sizes and if you are sticking with 6lb the 20 is the right size. Quantum does make a 25 size reel but they might not make it in that model. Allen

Before Technique Spec Rods, There Was Rick Clunn.

Best Rod For Square Bill Crankbaits?
St Croix guy here as well and I use either a 6-6 or 7' MHM Premier rod. You can find these used at decent prices and they just work great. For tight spaces the 6-6 is more accurate by the 7' works better for open water. Allen

Maryland's Who's who!
Sounds like you have most of what you need for the places mentioned. I would add some white spinnerbaits with dual silver willows and some jigs. Allen

Tube Makers
Do you know how to make tubes by dipping them? I have about 9 gallons of plastisol if you need some but it needs to be stirred. Allen

Lessons You've Learned The Hard Way!
Braid needs backing line on a baitcaster, I must have screwed with the drag for 1/2 an hour before giving up and putting the rod in the locker. You carry a net for a reason so use it in the tournament instead of flipping fish over the boat and back into the water. Allen

Accidental Catches
Just about every freshwater fish in the state but I don't count those as unusual. Objects: Volleyball net, about 4 rods, buzzbait, metal stringer with a small dead channel cat, shopping cart, bike, and my favorite a 3 section folding lawn chair that I thought was the state record. Living things: Fishing the Big Piney in MO I caught a painted water snake on a gulp worm. Hooked a beaver on a crankbait and it was not happy at all! Luckily the bait came free after a minute or two. Snapping turtles while pitching creature baits, they are a pain to unhook. Craziest was an owl that swopped down and grabbed a jitterbug while night fishing a small pond. Allen
