  1. Green pumkin baby brush hog, smoke colored senko, ghost minnow LC pointer. Allen
  2. I have the Hummingbird 47 3D fishfinder right now. The 3-D view of the Hummingbird looks cool and it is easy to tell where everything is in relation to the boat. The main problem is that I completely suck at using electronics so it doesn't matter if it is in 2 or 3d? :-[ The only info I use from it is depth and water temp? Allen
  3. I have seen his name on ebay before but now I cannot find his contact info? Allen

Did I miss something? I thought they switched to the Beretta 9mm about 10 years years ago and it is still standard Nato issue (including US) You are right the standard Army pistol is a Beretta 92 9mm which the Army cals the M9. Now SOCOM has SIG 228's and HK .45 that they use but the regular Army has Berettas. Allen
  5. Sometimes yes, sometimes no :-? I like to use different colored trailers to match the color of the crayfish. The two best jig color combinations for me are pumkinseed/brown jig w/green pumkin trailer and solid black jig & trailer. Allen

For semiauto's .40 is about the best all around caliber. Most police departments use this caliber including a lot of Fed's. Which gun to get is a personal preference? Go to a shooting range that rents guns and try out a couple different ones until you find one that you like. Right now I have a Glock 23 that is great but they are not a beginners gun look at the Sig 229. Now if you can't shoot for s*** or you just do not want to practice get a pistol grip 12 guage pump. If you are drunk, blind, missing one arm, whatever you can still hit something with some ole 00buckshot just point in the general direction. Allen
  7. http://www.luckycraft.co.jp/webcatalogue/index.html I am looking for someone to get me a couple Japanese colored LC baits. Does anyone have a contact that can get these for me? The color is 0596 baitfish silver (upper right hand corner of the link) or 0333 Hasu. I will pay top dollar for the baits plus shipping if someone has or can get these in b'freese (pointer) 65 or 100sp, slender pointer 97mr, staysee 80sp or 90sp, or gunnish 95. From time to time these colors are on ebay but all I find are pointer 78's in baitfish silver (already have at least 12 spares) and hasu gunnish (own 3 of each size). Now before someone says color doesn't matter much I have one of these pointers that is on its 5th set of hooks this year from catching fish. My confidence level is so high using these colors that they are worth the extra time and money to locate. Allen
  8. The only jigs I ever fish without a trailer are hare jigs. GMAN, Before I even scolled down and saw where you were from I was thinking that guy is probably from MO? PB&J colored jigs rule in that state! I spent 17 weeks at FT. Leonard Wood and that was the best color for jigs and lizards. Now that I am back in Maryland I cannot buy a bite on that color. Allen
  9. Split ring pliers are one of the best tools ever made for fishing. Allen
  10. Green pumkin baby brush hogs are one of the greatest SM lures made. Allen
  11. In my personal experience rattleless jigs work better 90% of the time. The only time I use rattles is in muddy water with a solid black jig. Allen
  12. Heddon tiny torpedo Jitterbug Gunnish 95 or G-splash 65 (they are about equal) Allen
  13. In clear water I use 5/16 Eakins style finesse jigs, muddy water SK pro model solid black with rattles. One thing I have noticed in the past year is weight matters more than color. Switching from a 3/8 to a 1/2oz bait tripled the number of fish I caught one day. Allen
  14. Senko, tube, original Rapala floating minnow all have caught more fish than you could ever count. Allen
  15. They are one of the greatest lures ever invented! Of my top 3 all time topwaters jitterbugs are #2 on the list right behind the heddon tiny torpedo. Allen
  16. http://www.staminainc.com/skirt_building_materials/skirt_tools.html I have both of these tools but I never use the skirt pliers. You can just use half of a ball point pen if you want. For about two weeks both of my skirt tools were lost so I just used part of a pen that the ink had dried up. Look around at the skirt tabs on this site and you can see all the different colors that you do not really need but will buy anyway. Tonight I made 30 jigs for the spring that consisted of 2 colors: dark brown pumkinseed and light brown pumkinseed. Allen
  17. I have heard they have a terrible warranty? Allen
  18. That is what my stuff looks like in the beginning of the year. About half way through the summer it is a complete mess! Allen
  19. Big Game is cheap and just as good as any other mono I have tried. One thing I have found is that Big Game is underrated so try using the next lighter size? Trilene XL casts the best but also stretches more than other monos. Allen
  20. Hard jerkbaits and finesse jigs worked for me this year in March. Allen
  21. For light line 4-8lb all I use is P-Line pure floro! It is stiffer than mono and it takes some getting use too but I really like it. Powerpro is the most recommended braid but I have no experience with it? Now I have used stren braid and it works but since I am still using the same spool after 3 years I see no need to try power pro. Allen
  22. ReelMech, I have a lot of Quantum Energy's and some BPS KVD Quantums does your book explain how to clean them? This is something I really need to learn instead of sending out 12 reels to be cleaned. The last time I sent them somewhere a few of them came back in worse condition than the left and now one is stuck in freespool. Allen
  23. 6'4" Falcon Lowrider spinnerbait rod Quantum PT650 5-1 15lb Big Game Now in the summer months when the UP is really clear I will use 12lb clear Big Game but 90% of the time 15lb works best. Allen
  24. Paint and then Devcon 2 ton epoxy like Harshman said. Allen
  25. Pumkinseed bluegill When I am bored I like to create different colored spinnerbaits. Allen
