  1. Well this is going to make me quite popular but... How about just letting the alone so they can; spawn, defend their fry, and not have to worry about fisherman while they are vulnerable ? :-? Everyone talks about "preserving the resource" but in the time it takes you to land and take that picture the bluegill can destroy the nest. I am not some sleeper cell PETA member or anything I just believe in letting them spawn in peace so there will be more bass. Allen

I use Eakins style finesse jigs all the time and I never use rattles. When I use a finesse style jig it is clear to stained water and even though I have tried rattles they just do not work for me. Now for muddy water the Strike Pro model jig seems to shine. These are the only jigs I use that I do not make myself (because I cannot find the same rattles). Allen
  3. I just found a staysee 80sp in baitfish silver on ebay! ;D It only took a couple of months but now I will have one. Allen
  4. I have seen tiger muskee's bite hooked bass almost in half! Allen

  6. Lightninrod, Would I have to take out a second mortgage on my house to get one of those? Allen
  7. Like Avid said they are the best looking most detailed baits on the market. I only fished two Megabass lures last year the Vision jerkbait and a jr something spook type bait. As for fish catching ability I did catch some on the walker but nothing to write home about and the Vision is a total flop for me. This winter I have purchased some other baits to try like the giant dog-x (which isn't that big), pop-x, etc. The bait I have the most hope for is the X-92 Edonis jerkbait (see link below) Allen http://cgi.ebay.com/Megabass-X-92-X-92-SW-Minnow-Edonis-2004-GG-Seguro_W0QQitemZ170062914541QQihZ007QQcategoryZ7300QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
  8. 6'6" -7' MH baitcaster on any of the better rods whatever your preference. If you like Kistler look at the graphite series before you get a LTA? I have both and to tell you the truth I like the $100 graphite series rod better than the $230 LTA rod. Allen
  9. http://www.georgescustomrods.com/split_your_grip.htm Here is a link on how to make your own split grip. I do not like split grip because I use two hans for casting and they do not feel right. Now the no-foregrip is a different story, every worm, pithchin, etc rod I own does not have a foregrip. Allen
  10. I do not target them but I catch a lot of them on bass lures every year. This year I caught one on a 8" zoom lizard and a LC pointer 100sp. Allen
  11. From what I have seen posted before junebug and redshad work well. Ask Earthworm77 he is now a Floridian and owns a tackle business (MicroMunch Tackle) so he probably has an ultra secret fish catching color. Allen
  12. I too am a shallow water fisherman So this year I have decided I need to learn to fish deeper water. Like a lot of you I hated the C-rig until I spent some time in MO. Someone showed me how to use it and I could catch fish all day long on zoom lizards. Here in MD I haven't had much use for it until this year. One day I tried fishing deeper water with it but came up empty handed. I ended up flippin jigs and creature baits into shallow cover about 3-4' deep. After breaking off lures on 4 rods I started throwing the c-rig with a 3/4oz sinker into the same places as the other baits. It was not because it is a secret technique or anything I just didn't feel like tying on anymore baits. I started to catch fish on about every cast which amazed me. That sinker couldn't of made any more noise entering into the water but the fish did not care. Allen
  13. I belong to a liars club that sometimes has fishing tournaments If any of these guys could fish half as well as they talk s**t they would be fishing the Classic. We are not affiliated with BASS, FLW, whoever else we are just a bunch of guys that get together about 8 times a year for a competition. It costs $125 a year and all the money is either paid back to the top 2-3 or used to buy club hats and jackets. It is fun and I do not have to worry about all the crap that goes on with major tournaments. Allen
  14. Sometimes I will use a grub in muddy water? Trailier hooks all the time! Allen
  15. Munkin is the nickname I was given by my father when I was a child and it is what most of my fathers side of the family still call me. Larry is THE EXPERT on fishing and everything else but you do not have to ask him because he is going to tell you anyway. : How can you rank yourself so close to him? You must be a decent fishermen I think I am somewhere about 12,234. Allen
