  1. So thinking of taking the boat out for the first time of the season and am seeing winds of 16mph and gust of 32mph now 16 is common for me but with no ramps in it has me wondering if it's a good idea another thing is how is driving a boat wide open when a gust of 32 comes in on a decent size lake nothing huge lets say 600 acres
  2. My thing is when looking at a map and you know the wind is coming from the north but all the coves are on the east side or west side how do you know which are affect by the north wind
  3. Ok let me start off and pick a wind direction like north so it means that’s going to hit the south but I’ve heard of people mentioning not to target any coves in the winter that hits. But how exactly does a north wind even hit a cove. My coves are East and west.
  4. So no more ags guides on any models?
  5. They made quiet a few changes on these rods it seems removing some models etc
  6. If you couldn't use a a-rig what would be your top winter moving bait for the winter months?
  7. I reached out to him and bought a lot of bait sadly the worms would split at the different color lines
  8. Everyone was right about the d bomb how about this, I think I found a closer bait the biffle bug. Thoughts on this one?
  9. Just trying to use up some stock I have before buying more baits. How about a rage craw? Yum bad mama would be a glide also right
  10. Looking for a replacement for the rage bug since I ran out would the missile d bomb do the same thing or close? Or do you think there just isn’t enough action in the d bomb bait
  11. Maybe on a very cold winter day you could make your own version of the above article I'm sure many here would be very interested in the details behind the madness, sorry organization.
  12. I've done the wooden dowel and pulled the boat closer to the snag lol I should add its a thick pitching jig hook
  13. How would you break off pitching with braid? I wouldn't want to cut that line and leave it if snagged so looking for options for a lure snagged you can't get with a lure retriever
  14. What tournaments over the years have you watch that have taught you something you remember or just enjoy watching. Trying to find some stuff to watch, not looking for bassmaster more so bassmaster x episode
  15. I did Enjoy the article, don't know how much I believe in a fishing log though.
  16. This one I'm having trouble seeing, I don't see the point at the area A. If this was a point, why wouldn't the right side of A, Be a point?
  17. Ok, thank you. Now I have one more question currently they said there is two points where the two channels meet but I do not see it I must be blind
  18. So I’m reading about breaklines in more detail and I see a diagram where there is a deep and sudden drop off, but that is not listed as the break line. the Breakline listed is the grass about 10 foot from the drop off. Wouldn’t the breakline be both?
  19. Huh where did you hear of this? was the guide successful seems silly but interested in history
  20. Of course, from what I was understanding he was saying the speed matters by temp usually slower deep and cold and then faster hot and deep, I have 5 gear rations along with 7 but got to thinking well why am I using a 5 when he recommends paying attention to speed. Do you think a 5 gear ratio reel at a decent pace is "Fast" enough? I know kvd talked about bigger spool and gears and how gear ratio is sort of a marketing tool to some extent
  21. Ok so deep cranking is more commonly done in the summer here and was curious about gear ratio. Kvd and others side with the slower 5 gear ratio but people like Buck talk about speed control for your lures being key. If that’s the case wouldn’t you want a faster gear ratio in the summer for deep cranking What’s your thoughts on the matter
  22. This almost feels like the never ending topic lol which I don't mind. The question is I have most my spinnerbaits with 4.5 than 4 as the back but recently starting getting some with 4 front and then 3.5 in the back Now befits to this is maybe smaller baitfish BUT doesn't a spinner thrive for the vibration which the larger blades would give anyways is there really a point to get the 4 front with the 3.5 back, is there a situation I'm missing? These are 3/8oz spinnerbaits
