  1. Looks like the warehouse sale isn’t going to be great this 4th
  2. What if you haven't exactly establish where they're holding? do you drag it half way until you do?
  3. I don’t understand when to use a shakey head over a finesse jig. Or a drop shot over a shakey head. How about a wacky rig senko? (The senko sorta makes sense to me because I can throw it around standing timber)
  4. Do you have a strategy, like using a light line lure to break off so you don't ruin a spot (obv there are texas rig baits but they also get snagged) Just curious on how people break their line on 18lb on a curly tail worm or do they just ruin the spot and still not get the lure half the time?
  5. Lets say you have a baby brush hog your rod texas rigged do you throw it to x cover and work it through it then reel in OR just work it most of the way back to the boat?
  6. I have tons of swimbaits but nothing like a goby I do have keitechs etc what length do you think would be a good start?
  7. we don't have perch, goby or anything ayu color we have bluegill and crappie.
  8. big goby or glide baits - This was posted as a reccomend bait on a site I was looking at but what is a goby swimbait? we have no goby here in Iowa so what could this possibly mean
  9. Odd I didn’t see this where is this at?
  10. usually do frogs perform better when it's raining or when the sun is beating down and they are tucked into the cover
  11. what would you do if the fish wasn't shallow quite yet where you could reach them with the above baits
  12. Thanks everyone made a edit to the post yes it will be out of my own boat and I will be the front boater no time to pre practice but know what usually holds fish
  13. Do you to think it’s best to bring all the tools (rods) even if you are not proficient in them yet meaning should you bring a deep lipless because it’s a “proven” spring bait or not because you haven’t used it enough yet. Also should you only pack baits for certain season example in spring they are or should be moving up do I focus on deep baits if I hadn’t caught them on it this time of year. I understand that is what practice is for but I do not get to practice expect weeks before due to work and life. So with knowing this what is the best approach thank you front of the boat and I have all tools needed
  14. What rod actions would you use for the 6 inch mag draft both freestyle and line thru? I'm fine with it being to different rods I want the correct actions
  15. Seems the most common whenever you hear anyone talk about the technique
  16. I have tons of tubes I have the 4"zoom tubes I have the 3.5 coffee tubes and xzone tubes is it my understanding that you really only want to be flipping the 4"tubes? I've never flipped or caught a largemouth here in Iowa on a tube so this is all new to me
  17. Ok so my question is how do you decide on what to use when it comes to baits that do the same thing like a shallow lipless over grass vs a chatterbait? or a spinnerbait vs squarebill? list goes on and on but curious on why one vs the other when they are tools to do the same job
  18. Thoughts on barometric pressure? higher than 29.92 is supposed to be tougher fishing current but whats higher 29.94? or whole numbers like 31?
  19. Just cause I love learning what sizes of the above? White and sliver also?
  20. Thank you scaleface I’ll buy some today. What you think the sliver black back and white should be all the colors I need?
  21. Color Silver Flash Black Back Length 3-1/2" Weight 3/8 oz. Buoyancy Floating Hook Size 6 Max Diving Depth 3' this one?
  22. What are some good ones this is a new technique for me. Also what do you fish them on?
  23. So saturday would be the front correct even though the weather doesn't change that day. They can feel it in the pressure? Making Saturday a slower fishing day? or would it just start on sunday?
  24. I seen a topwater jerkbait style bait and am confused on which one it is I'm thinking maybe something like rapala original floater, this is a whole new bait category for me notes it was not a wake bait it was worked just like a jerkbait would be but was on top of the water
