  1. do all the reels have braid to leader?
  2. I currently have a 7’9”hvy fast action for it and after doing more research it seems I need a 7’6” mh rod with a mod fast action thinking of this rod Description Tatula Elite Signature Series Cody Meyer Searchbait Rod Length 7 ft. 6 in. 1 pc. Power / Action M-MH / R thoughts on which direction I should go?
  3. I do agree with this. I'm also assuming if they have 3 jerkbait rods on the deck they would be rigged with different line size to get a slightly different action from each one. You used to tournament fish did you ever go as detailed as something like that or was it more just have 2 jerkbait(or any technique) rods one for back up incase of a birds nest or something else?
  4. What is the real advantage to have having Sic jerkbait rods for example? you would think the clutter on the deck could cost lost fish or comfort fishing. just trying to understand why the one jerkbait rod or two one shallow one deeps wouldn’t be enough? the save time point of view seems to me to not be valid when your talking a minute?
  5. the weighing thing didn't seem right but ig that's the rules That being said congrats Bobby!
  6. I find it wild people keep saying this. How much older is the classic? Things take time
  7. I figured sucks I can’t find the ipt for the sv
  8. Do they have common ipt compared to gear ratios?
  9. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-DAIWARELLS.html?from=basres Has a smaller spool and I always see people talking about if you buy a 7/8 gear ratio for example, That if you have a smaller spool by the time you cast out and reel it in your gear ratio really wont be a 7 or a 8? So does this stand true with the tatula sv?
  10. So I don’t know if I did it right, when graphing the lake I was having a lot of trouble SEEING the fish. With bass I feel confident just knowing they should be at x location and don’t need to SEE them but for walleye when reading up on it I see people graphing until they see the dots(the fish) by the end of the day I just was casting towards some rock and got one but it was never seen on the unit. so do you graph until you see walleye/fish or just fish the high % area with never seeing fish of any kind
  11. Tom I respect you in the highest regard in fishing. I ask you questions all the time and do you have to answer no, but you always get back to me and I appreciate everything you share here on the forums with us.
  12. You find it matters to the fish?
  13. Feel like I just seen baitman post this lol
  14. is there a difference at all from a rat wake bait from lets say a ms slammer wake bait?
  15. https://www.iowadnr.gov/Portals/idnr/uploads/fish/maps/wos20.pdf Is the lake that is throwing me off. I see the obvious points but does anything else stand out to you? species Black Bullhead Black Crappie Bluegill Channel Catfish Green Sunfish Largemouth Bass Muskellunge Redear Sunfish White Crappie Wiper (Hybrid Striped Bass)
  16. What are your favorite soft plastic swimbaits for lakes without trout or shad but ton's of bluegill and crappie have my list but curious of others? avg big size fish here is around 3-4 lbs can get to 6-7lb but rare very rare imo thinking of 6.8 kietechs and basstrixs 6 inch I do want to add I think the hudd 68 would still work, in my waters. Though I am thinking it's probably not a high percentage bait, of course if you drop 5 trout into any lake that doesn't have trout, the bass will still eat them but is buying/throwing? Is a hudd 68 a high percentage bait when you consider they are more commonly eating crappie and bluegill?
  17. Thank you I'm excited to fish it. I've seen tacticalbassin label this as a fast retrieve action bait. Meaning they reel it fast then stop or add rod movements and go back to reeling fast is this how you would fishi it or do you just fish it down to where you believe the fish are, with a slow movement with added twitches if needed.
  18. What time would you try to get to sleep when your waking up at 2Am that's very early
  19. That's a pricey a-rig lol, how did you like the 4" and 6" by themselves? I'm assuming the 8" just gets the job if rigged by itself
  20. Do you strictly stick to the bigger ones 8" or is the smaller ones like the 4 and 6 inch just as productive also what are your favorite colors?
  21. I was considering the 7" in Silver Trout sorta like blue trout color but thinking of playing it safe with the above didn't want to get the 7" if the 8" was just a better bait I find it odd they made one a inch different
  22. Looking at buying a triple trout swimbait I have the correct set up and fish here are usually around 4-6lb well the good size fish at least. The question is what size would you recommend in this case here in the midwest with that avg size big fish?
  23. amazing
  24. Lol as I buy it I've never heard of them being great for smallmouth of course tacticalbassin has caught some smallies on it
