  3. Fishing went well! Caught 9 bass 2-4 pound range off a wacky rigged senko. Another 6 bass 1.5 -3.5 pounds off a frog. Then another 5 bass 2-5 pounds off of a black and blue chatterbait.
  4. Thanks guys
  5. I like to start with a black/blue or green pumpkin chatterbait, and then slowly move to a T rigged senko. Then try some top water at the early morning or late evening.

  7. I'll also be fishing this pond from 6 pm to 9 pm.
  8. Hey guys, I'm venturing out to a new pond this Sunday and I'm looking for any bait and presentation suggestions. The pond is about 150 yards long and probably 35-45 yards across, there's a shallow cove (12-18 inches deep) on the opposite side of the dam, which I saw blue gill bedding in. The deepest point is close to 20 feet deep and the water clarity is about 4-5 feet. There's is also thick lily pads that extend about 10-15 yards offshore. This pond is also natural and stream fed if that helps any. Thanks in advance! -Holden

  11. Yes fish it definitely, but don't spend your whole time working that one subliminal structure, work the main point as well. One of my favorite baits to throw around points are Chatterbaits and T rigged craws.
  12. I learned the top water thing attracting gators the hard way while vacationing in SC. I was fishing a spook and a 3.5 foot gator came up and ate it. I eventually just had to cut my line.
  13. Try it. Put 2-3 on a hook, (depending on size) and put a bobber like 18 inches up.
  14. They were probably using a live minnow, craw or worm.
  15. Exactly right, my mom has a doctrine in Language Arts, and that is her favorite book. Thanks, Sam.
  16. No it does not. Thanks, will definitely check him out
  17. Try a shaky head worm, and just flip some crawls as well as working jigs and cranks

  19. Welcome! If your anywhere near the Myrtle Beach Metro I can tell your where some great ponds are. I vacation there for most of my summer.
  20. No I have yet to try that one yet, but will definitely look into it. I love fishing the Tye (also a tributary), for nice smallmouth. The Tye is a little too small for my boat, but it's perfect for wading.
  21. When I'm in the rapids of the James I wade, but I do own a boat, my favorite way to catch fish is top water, I love seeing blow ups. And when you say Chic. are talking about the Chikamaw River?
  22. Do you know his username? I would love to talk to him!
