Help me catch more fish :-)
That is very kind of you to offer to help him more than you already have. As to you, MDRookie, if you can try to meet up with fishnkamp. He helped me to find a boat, select rods, and catch fish. I have no doubt that he will point you in the right direction. If you ever want info on some of the Eastern PA waters, ill do my best. what i would do: get a portable aerator. convert one of those coolers into a live well. its pretty simple. start of your day by catching or buying baitfish like shad sunnies perch or crappie. use you ultralights for this. while you have you two ultralights out, use your baitcaster to fish a spinnerbait crank bait or other lure. You could also learn to wacky/neko rig with the spinning rod. then once you have 5-10 fish tie on a live bait rig. i prefer a #4 snelled hook with a 12"leader to a snap swivel to a 1/8 oz bullet or egg sinker that is free sliding. then add your foam bobber. foam will not break. target structure and cover and points. places where fish will relate. Use the live bait and your baitcaster. if you want to buy a new rod, buy a good enough rod and a good bait cast reel. a good enough rod will be sensitive strong and light. a good bait cast reel will be smooth cast far and have a smooth drag. start with 10-12 pound mono. i recommend a 7' medium mod or a 7'medium heavy fast let me know if you have more questions

Shimano Chronach vs Quantum Smoke
I currently own a Quantum Smoke PT 7.3:1 with 30 lb test Suffix 832 for heavy cover. I am thinking of ideas for xmas. i have 3 casting rods and two reels i 7'1" med mod have a topwater/jerkbait/softbait/squarebill rod with the cabbalas arachnid and 10 lb test monofilament. i land 5 pound bass just fine replacing my mh rod at the moment also looking for a reel my heavy cover is currently the smoke and a 7'3" MH Fast, may look into making it a heavy by exchanging it my question: What reel can I get for 100$ that is at least 150$ usually? I found a smoke 6.6:1 for 100 (had an issue with mine sent it back got the one have now) not worried about that. I like the idea that i could swap spools with the smoke, as i fish crazy clear water where fluorocarbon would be needed but also stained water where i could use braid. so, what reel do you recommend?

6 lb test invisx
i have two spools of Seaguar invisx, one 6 lb spool and one 8 lb spool. The 8 lb spool has had no issues, really hard for me to break the line with my bare hands. My 6 lb spool is weaker, i can break it with my bare hands rarely easily. also, it seems to be unwinding like some bad flourocarbons do. Is there a problem with spool, or is 6 pound line really weak

Connecting motor to battery?
I just purchased a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 and the Minn Kota Endura Max. The Max has "clips" that fit right around the terminal when the nut is screwed on tight. The Powerdrive; however, has a small circle which does not connect to the terminal well. I am using Everstart batteries from Walmart. How do i attach the battery and motor?

6'10" ML XF vs 7'1" M F
- Bass Fishing in Cherry Hill NJ
I plan on taking my 14' Jon boat into a small lake in New Jersey with my Granddfather. Any suggestions? thanks- 6'10" ML XF vs 7'1" M F
looking at a new spinning rod. i like to wacky rig and drop shot. rod one is shorter but is rated for lighter baits, rod two is longer Which do you think would suit me better? Thanks- Pond Mangement
I live In Pennsylvania. This is a private quarry that I have exclusive permission to fish. There are several quarries in my area, because it used to be a mining town. The plan I have is to put perch into the water. I also want to use fish finder to map out the lake if i can get a jon boat in there. Thanks for all the help- Pond Mangement
what if i take 1/3 of the bass out, put them in a new lake, and stock baby pickerel, rainbow trout, perch, bullhead, and a new breed of small bluegill?- Pond Mangement
There is a local private quarry that I fish. There are (according to a buddy) Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and Black Crappie. Never caught or seen the trout or crappie, but I believe they are there. Water is spring fed. It is gin clear, with visibility pushing 10+ feet. It is a stone quarry, therefore lots of rock. Deep with straight drop offs into 30+ feet. Also an island and flat and grass line. The island is small, enough to pitch a tent on if you wanted. The "flats" is a 100' by 50' section near a drop off and the island where the bluegill spawned (wasn't there for the bass). I made a map of the lake. The grass area is gradually sloping, with tall grass until the top 4' of water. It is about 10 acres. I have fished it about ten times now. Lots of numbers, little size. 5 days where we caught 25+ bass. mostly 1-1.5 pounds. My partner has seen a few LMB's that were well over 5 pounds. I have seen one. I know there are a few big ones pushing 3. the ratio i have created is x>3 lbs : x<3 lbs 3:50. this means the for every fish i see/catch there, 3 of them were greater 3 pounds. Also the bluegill all push 2 pounds, like dinner plate size. they are so big that i fish for them instead of bass here. my question: How can i help the size of the bass increase? Would keeping fish and putting them into a different private pond help the overcrowding? I read that the bluegill may be big because of this. Also would adding another type of baitfish help? Thanks!- Power Handle For Flipping?
does anyone use a power handle for flipping and pitching? I feel you could put more pressure on a fish. If so, what is a good model to get?- South East PA Spot Needed
