  6. I would be absolute glad to give you the best info i have, because you are being generous in assisting me. The lake has hydrilla that is dying and not covering the whole lake. Also there is lily pads that are mostly dead now. no topo map that i could find after much research I target wooden docks with boats that are isolated. i record each dock with a fish what is a brush pile again? not sure why "turned" means thanks its lake harmony, in Kidder PA there are shad perch and bluegill in the lake
  7. I've got 50 years until I retire!
  8. Thanks, i want to keep it simple, i started by investing in "quality gear" that way it will last me for a long time and have few problems
  9. I have a friend that is a member, it looks interesting, and i will probably join next year!
  10. good point, i live in chester county, but have a house near lake harmony. it is 65 acres with average bass size of 3 pounds. electric only. harmony is unlimited and 127 acres it gets packed with pleasure boaters but few anglers lots of docks and rocks and hydrilla. there are other small lakes nearby with close access 5 min to jack frost and big boulder
  11. As I am becoming more and more into fishing, I must acquire better gear. I am accustomed to both casting and spinning reels. My current setups are Rod/Reel/line/Use 7'3" MH Fast OMN / Quantum Smoke Pt 7.3:1 / 30 lb test Suffix 832 7'3" MH Fast OMN / (no reel yet) / (no line yet) 7'1" M Mod Tournament ZX / Daiwa Arachnid 6.3:1 / 10 lb test CXX 7' M Fast Tournament ZX / Tornament ZX 1500 / 20 lb test braid with 6-10 pound leader I want to have a heavy, medium heavy, and medium casting rods. the heavy will be use for applications with lots of power needed. this reel will have 50 pound braid and a spare spool with 20 pound flourocarbon. medium heavy will be the nicest reel i can find for less than 150$ with 15 pound fluorocarbon or 20-30 pound braid. will be used for swim jigs and spinnerbaits. Medium will be used for plastics, cranks, topwater, etc. i want to then add another spinning setup to my arsenal, one for wacky rigs and one for drop shotting. Then i will add baits and other gear. What do you think of this plan? i also want to exchange the two OMNs for 7'3" H and 7'1" MH ones
  12. Got to take my new boat out on lake harmony this weekend. It was 45-60 F on Saturday. Few bites. Clear and calm. 6' visibility, compared to the usual 2. No big boats, several smaller ones like us fishing. We targeted docks with boats still there and weed lines. On an isolated metal dock with a boat, i caught a 5 pound largemouth. five minutes later and a few docks down, i caught a 2 pounder. on the .25 oz swim jig. no more bites, but we saw several 2-4 pounders cruising the bank. The next morning was 30 F cloudy and windy. we got a few bites on isolated docks. I would like like help figuring this lake out, we only seem to get 2-3 bites on the docks and weeds. The lake is 127 acres with 3 or four miles of shoreline, heavily developed. thanks
  13. yeah i live 20 min from there, going for musky tomorrow...
  14. Just bought a 14' utility v in nj, it has then stickers and was recently titled and registered in pa, can i use the boat or do i need to do something with the stickers first?

  16. Ok so I bought a new boat yesterday and the person whom I bought it from warned me of small leaks in the rivets. My plan is to use silicone caulk on the inside to seal that and use jb weld on the outside. Also, i will use flex seal overtop and then cover the boat's underside in truck bed liner from harbor freight. does anyone know if this will work or if there will be issues? thanks!
  17. it was not included, i do have a broken mine kota and oars though...
  18. As you may know, I have been in the market for a new boat. Well I got one! It is a 14' Sea King from 1968. The boat was painted last year. Has a casting deck and rod locker that are ok but may need to be to be fixed in the further. now all i need is a motor and I'm ready!
  19. looking at this boat. wanted to know if anyone knew the specs or where to find them. also please let me know what you think, looks like a good aluminum deck, was painted last year and is covered by a boat cover.
  20. seems like a good idea, can you please elaborate, i want a storage system for the underside of the hatch on my casting deck.
  21. looking for a good way to organize my hooks and baits that i use on my boat. i saw an idea where someone used styrofoam and attached it to the hatch of his boat. looking for something like this to prevent rust and clutter. thanks
