  1. The mighty TN river is where @roadwarriorfishes , not terribly far from southern “ahia” (Ohio)
  2. It’s hunting some dry rub pork and good music
  3. Don’t forget about individual personality. To say anything about wildlife is typically just people speculating. If I catch 30 raccoons in the same area, 15 of them might be calm and 15 might be ready to kill me. Animals and fish don’t read books, nor do they follow generalizations that humans place on them. INDIVIDUALS WILL ALWAYS VARY!! an example: how many threads are on here about fish having red eyes? Everyone offers a reason, yet no one actually has a clue. You can assume it’s because it’s spawning or eating crawdads, type it into the internet, and people will run with it. In reality, a bass has red eyes....... because it does
  4. You mean to tell me humans can’t control the weather? Seems I’ve heard otherwise somewhere....... everybody stay safe and keep an eye to the sky
  5. Some lakes have strong current, I’d say Lake Erie headed toward Niagara Falls is stronger current than most rivers in America. Also lots of fish swim from rivers to lakes and back again all the time
  6. Man did I have some water circulation problems with my merc 50, although mine is a 2008 4 stroke EFI and looks a little different. I had the same problem through 2-3 water pumps. There’s an intake mechanism that looks like a small pvc pipe with a fluted end. every time a couple different mechanics put my lower back on it got slightly sideways. The motor would still pee Most of the time in neutral and all the time with some throttle but would alarm at very low throttle in gear (trolling plugs). Once a friend of a friend got it back on straight, it shoots water out like crazy at all speeds. I replaced a good water pump for nothing a few times but oh well they are cheap haha. the first thing to check on all water pumps is poke some weedeater string in the pee hole to knock the dirt dobber nest out also for all your outboard motor needs, @Way2slow is the authority
  7. Creek chub is a different species of fish , but you may call them as you please haha
  8. I don’t fish at night and I’m 36. Night is for sleeping
  9. Anytime man, don’t be afraid to ask any other questions. It may not rain as often here as Oregon, but it rains a lot harder
  10. You can feel them with Carolina rig or crank. Also if they are laying all over the bank, there’s one nearby somewhere. I’ve also caught catfish completely stuffed full of them
  11. Guitar George sure knew all the chords
  12. I heard some good Eddie Van Halen stories from my musician buddy down at a local watering hole tonight. He had a buddy that grew up idolizing Eddie and the buddy finally met him and recorded a few songs, I would just have to tell y’all the stories in person. Hilarious! I would say Rest In Peace but I don’t know if Mr Van Halen would enjoy peace
  13. One of , if not the best, guitar players to ever walk the earth
  14. They will still bite! Come on a sunny day and you may get skunked
  15. Darlin you got to let me know........ should I stay or should I go?
  16. It’s nice to have both! I know I can’t fish 12 miles upstream of a boat ramp in my kayak
  17. Well you’ve already driven to Indy for bait so I say smoke em if you got em
  18. Once again, there’s only one way to find out, and it ain’t the internet.....
  19. Times are tough but they ain’t as tough as you are. I say drop it all and go fish, then again that’s always my motto
  20. 1) Watts bar 2) fort Loudon 3) Melton hill . Honestly I like Norris better than all 3 but watts bar is a fish factory probably second only to chickamauga in East TN. The only drawback of watts bar is there is not a real “city” anywhere close. Kingston is the biggest city in the area and it sometimes seems like traveling back into the 1970s haha. I worked in Kingston half of the day yesterday and saw big cheese mats of scum on the clinch river arm of watts bar from the interstate. Melton hill is also loaded with milfoil like watts bar. If you want to get a feel for what fort Loudon fishes like, tune into last years bassmaster classic. I think @Jermination has really grown to like Melton hill over the last few years. It’s a smaller lake but holds nice fish
  21. Almost all white bass have broken lines
