We need your 2 cents!
I am in the same boat ( pun intended).. I really want a lund and am comfortable that it would last the test of time, but the price tag of the trackers are tough to ignore. My next concern are the power plants. I really want a Honda or Yamaha, but neither is an option. 15 yrs is a lot of time. The only other thing in the back of my mind is resale. While intending to hold for the long haul, life happens. Good luck, and please let us know what you decide. Al

Back seat etiquette.
What ever works for the owner is fine......but what starts out as fine can become a pain in the *ss. Especially given the cost of owning a boat. Just because the rear may pay 1/2 the cost of the day, he doesn't pay the monthly payment, insurance, and maintenance. I don't like most people, so am content fishing alone or with good friends.

Rod for popper/ jerk..help
I'm embarrassed to say that until this year, I have never thrown a popper. I have always had other solutions for top water, but find myself enjoying the popmax and splash it. I am also enjoying the larger jerk. The jersk have been on a MH crankbait rod rated for 1 ounce. The poppers have been on the same and a MH spinning setup. I am looking at getting 2 more rods, both gloomis. Simple question....what is a preferred rod for poppers and jerk baits. Thanks, I realize it can be tiresome with these questions Al

Best casting 30 lb braid for throwing Topwater
Never been able to tell the difference in casting braid with a broomstick. The rod has more to do with it......that said, I have one set up with smackdowwn and love it.....torque is also awesome as it is usually thinner.

White caffeine shad.....
We are still in spawn and will be for probably will be for a couple more weeks. The white caffeine shad has brought 80% of the fish in the boat, and the bigger fish too. I don't consider it a swimmer, but it is had to justify my bigger and more expensive swimmer for this time of the yr. Wally world and BPS were all out of them for the second week in a row. Is this the same everywhere? Almost got a new PB this weekend! Mrs Bull looked in the box and pulls out a slammer and quickly pulled out a slammer and asked what the he'll do I need these things for..........she clearly doesn't understand, but made a good point. Is that shad popular in your area and when do you move to true swimmers ( they have been a neglected bait for me for yrs) Thanks, Al

Bubble gum senkos
For most of the season green pumpkin and black/blue are the go-to's. The bubble gum and orange are a prespawn, spawn items. Getting to white today, as the caffeine shad has beaten everything so far

Loomis GLX MBR 842C
You will be a little limited on the weight of top waters, but will work. On a side note, if you are looking for technique specific rods, you can get 2 E6x. I just don't see the need for a great top water, but do see the need for jig/worm

Why am I gut hooking so many fish?
Had to deal with 3 today........ I use light wire hook. With wire cutter, cut the shank. With pliers crimp the barb Though the gill rotate the hook out. Cutting the shank really helps

When your buddy is having a rough day and you're not...
Happened this morning. I agreed to take my buddy and son out for a couple hrs. Buddy never fished and son only a couple times. They got 8, all over 3 lbs. I got zero....to busy tying line, and removing fish and hooks.....but it was fun

Gut hooked fish on a Wacky Rig
Fish are part of the food chain and little sleep should be lost on the occasional premature death. Last yr, one of mine died and an eagle promptly dove and brought it back to the nest...life goes on...
