MK Ulterra problems.
I love my Ulterra, but now the auto deploy is starting to act up. Hard to trust something when it doesn't work 100% of the time. The call is in to customer service, but an Ultrex may be in my future. Any Ultrex owners regret their purchase? Don't get me wrong I love th Ulterra, but having to jiggle it to prevent motor error" is a pain. Thanks, Al

Post a photo a day!
Having a heck of a time finding anything over 3.5, but a dozen like this makes waking up early worth it.

Decks
I have a plastic deck and it is awesome. Pressure wash once a year and good to go. The only issue is that they can get hot. No warm, no fade, no worries

Who still uses nothing but mono?
I have far more “all braid figs” than anything else. 832 gamma fins Hitena pureline all are fine. Pureline is the most expensive, but I do like it best.

GY Senko Prices
If I were fishing for $$$$ it would be GY. For weightless wacky, that is my choice. once I go over 5 inch Trig, many others can get the call. When I am bringing a novice guest or kid....4 inch GY wacky and weightless

Turning 30, hittin me hard!!
Carpe diem, as tomorrow is promised to no one . That said, if you live large, your body will remind you when you hit 40. I am twice your age and should have been fertilizer over a decade ago. Pain is a constant and I have zero regrets. live as you wish. The last item on my bucket list will be checked this October

Gotta hand it to dad
Geeez, sorry to hear about your mom! Teaching you to be self reliant and being able to protect yourself is one of the best things parents can do. You both should be proud

Releasing Bass
I usually fill a live well to take the pressure off. If it’s around spawn, I get measurements and pics within 15 minutes. If mid summer it may be an hr. I often treat the water just in case

Coolest thing you've ever witnessed while fishing?
1.. Almost hit a baby bear who was taking a swim at dust near a channel marker. 2.. Caught a seagull with a pop max......almost had to take it on the boat before he let go

Chatterbait rod selection
If you have a Crank Bait rod, try it and see if it helps. If it does the MBR is a good choice. You could also be having an issue with the hook-set. Not uncommon since most chatterbait hooks are beefier than many worm hooks

1000 vs 2000 size spinning reel
I have all sizes and line capacity might be an issue with the 1000. I use mine for DS and Ned. I use 10# braid. Casting distance is more of a rod and bait things vs the reel

Jackall Pompadour Jr. Lures
I have a couple and they have their place, but it's limited. I think there are more versatile options....sorry to pee in your cornflakes ☹️

Chatterbait rod selection
I know I am starting to sound like a broken record, but the MBR flex really excels for bladed jigs. ?

Fluorocarbon leader material or mainline for leader?
You will also find many on this board who go with straight braid with no ill effects

Fluorocarbon leader material or mainline for leader?
All my spinning rods are braid to leader. Hi vis yellow in 10# works well. I am using more mono these days for leader. Since the guides are bigger, the uni-uni is usually the knot of choice
