Present for friend who just caught PB
If you can get a picture, there are services that can reproduce it poster size. That would mean a lot to me

Opinions on Robalo
Awesome boat! They depreciate more and faster than their competition and make for a better value on the used market! I have seen many on the East coast for very reasonable $$$$$

Personal Firearms
This largely depends on your state. In NH, we do not need a permit for open or concealed carry. We don’t need to use an exit for the “stand your ground” or “castle rule”. It also depends on if YOU feel your life Or well-being is threatened. I have pulled twice, once in VT and the other N.H., and in both cases, dreamed justified by authorities meaning deadly force could have been used. If these had happened in many other states, I may have been in jail.

Trust Your Instincts
I think instincts come from life experience and sadly the young often pay for the lack there of. Sad times for sure

Yellow Line
Finns is great and will not fade, Gamma also makes an orange that works pretty good. All my braid is colored. Pink from Hitena is awesome for topwater (expensive)

Lead bullet weights...
NH is a lead free state and the movement started on my home lake by conservationists with respect to Loons. Some companies do still ship lead to N.H. but I have “bit the bullett” ? and gone to tungsten and do like it more

Gonna try wacky rig tomorrow
Weightless wacky for 5 feet or less Neco for 5-20, weighted accordingly . MB Addermine for wacky. I do through the Neco on an NRX 852 baitcaster .......I don’t make long cast as increased snags comes with increased distance .

Reel from Japan, 4 days.- Typical leader length?
If I use leader, the knot is between the reel and first guide. GY prefers to have long leaders especially with spinning gear to get the knot on the reel to lessen chance of knot failure.......think that is where the 15’ may come from- Jerkbait Rod
I have the Alpha and it is owesome! ......the MB Flatside special is pretty special too. Glad I don’t have to decide between the two- Talon or Power Pole
I looked at both for a while a couple years ago and decided on Talon. I would do it all again.......my back-seater also appreciated it- What’s your favorite reel brands?
On the high end it’s all Shimano for me. ( Bantam, Antares, Met MGL, Calcutta Conquest,) In the mid range, it’s a coin toss. Spinning is Shimano.- "Upgrade your Split Rings". Yeah right. Whatever...
With big baits, add a split ring or braid loop so the leverage of the shake can’t bend or break rings. Truth be told, 2 small ones are stronger than many big ones.....and you will land more fish- Mod V or Deep v Hull??
^^^^^^This, for the win- Lake Baccarac Lodge In Mexico
with the good lord willing!!!!- 40 vs. 50 lb Braid?
30 especially since 832 is slightly thicker than most. That said, look to diameter. Some 50 # = some 30#. pureline and smack down are pretty thin- Post a photo a day!
- What do you do about a deep line break?
I coming from mostly braid to FC leader, I use braid for all my backing and try to buy FC or Mono in bulk......Especially is your using tastu as your FC. I also lime that the Union knot is smaller and don’t worry if I need to increase drag before getting spoiler. Only happened once but I was grateful- Another sunglasses lens color question
Apologies as I know it’s redundant....... My prescription changed again and and it’s imperative that I wear sunglasses in all but very low light conditions. I am on an Oakley program and have my high and no light conditions covered. The only low light lens I have used are yellow range glasses. What color is best for overcast fishing. My rep is recommending a copper base. Thoughts?- Missing a lot of Smallies on a Wacky Rig Senko
I think I have used every circle and short shank hook on the market and most performed well since I tried these I have not looked back seldom get gut hooked and very easy to remove going through the gills if it isn’t in the roof of the mouth https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VMC_Ike_Approved_Wacky_Hooks/descpage-VMCW.html this is my NEKO hook https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VMC_Ike_Approved_Neko_Hook/descpage-VMCNH.html- Post a photo a day!
- Deep or Shallow, how do you decide?
If on the water at 5 AM , shallow flats in open water. Zero luck shallow in a week. Out second move to 20 FOW off the flats has been where the action has been at.- New to the Neko rig
VMC Ike 1/0 NEKO hook 1/16 nail weight, 1/8 if over 10 FOW https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Yamamoto_Neko_Fat_Worm/descpage-YNKX.html almost any bait will work, but I use these and out fish my partner 2 to1 - Shipping nightmares
