  1. Sometimes it’s not about fishing
  2. At this time of year I use a super line hook or add a barrel swivel to run it lower in the water column
  3. I think it would be weird if they didn’t ?
  4. For me it is about weight, balance, price, dependability. The ci4 does that for me. I have tried the upper tear and truth be told, I don’t get it as much as I do with top shelf BC’s
  5. I always fish my rats this way, but then don’t move it until the waves are gone....
  6. I got my 2 93’s for under 900.00 around the holidays. i have seen similar sales around the same time of year got the past couple
  7. I have both and the Conquest is far more versatile and I don’t see guys that are using it as a jig rod complaining about sensitivity. I like the NRX for my lighter presentations but I am talking 2 powers. I think the question is whether you like the MBR flex. I didn’t think I did, but get far more fish in the boat with it. Sensitivity is in the hands of the beholder. The conquest will fish heavier so keep that in mind when considering techniques. Also consider the line you use. My braided conquest fish far different the my FC. i would buy the Conquest
  8. Conquest Calcutta 300........a little piece of heaven. the Tranx for the budget minded
  9. Great post! Last weekend I was coming off the water and and saw over a dozen boat in line to launch. Sitting in the water was a boat that would not start and the trailer was being parked. The partner floated the boat off. The Fish and Game officer was just shaking his head. I have also towed 3 boats in this year and that's a record for me.
  10. Time passes way to fast Time passes way to fast
  11. Last years MET MGL can be had at reasonable prices.....if not today, this fall for sure. I will be selling some left’s later in the season
  12. Free Market principles at work....... BPS and Cabela's are turning into clothing stores and most mom and pops realized that they can't afford to stock what most of us want. ......and asking the Google to find you something will yield you tons of options, whether you ask for it or not
  13. Outfished by my daughter and a wacky worm. .......and yes, she never lets me forget it?
  14. I keep 2 Met DC’s on my boat for my kids that don’t make it on the water as much as they would like. They are very user friendly!
  15. Great stuff above, that said, learn the FG. It takes an hr to perfect it and solves a ton of problems takes less than a minute to tie
  16. Sadly, with many learning remotely, I think the Fall traffic will busy until the cooler temps are here to stay. That said, any relief is appreciated
  17. I have the GLX, NRX and Conquest. there is no wrong decision here. Of your two choices I would go NRX. Personally I love the MBR flex and get more fish in the boat , but is may be the way I fish. Many say the NRX is old technology......who cares!
  18. we are coming on the time of year where some major retailers sell their demos and exchangers. Many time a phone call yields better results and searching alone
  19. Not to take this sideways, but I may be the only person in my town that loves Wally World. In the sections I go to most, they have hired a bunch of retired, knowledgeable veterans who go the extra mile.
  20. Demo GLX‘S can be had for just over 300.00 and Conquest just over 400.00. It is hard to beat the overall performance on top shelf Loomis rods.
  21. I suspect it mirrors the military and is based on earlier technology. When the military makes decisions it is usually based on the majorities predisposition. ....r handed, r eyed dominance, ect
  22. Jerk Baits will soon be my Go-To....much like Spring
