Trials of buying that first boat
Don't let some get in your head with "even though it's a Tracker". Trackers are quality boats made for the average Joe like you and me. Some knocked it because of the wood deck, those people don't understand wood and how it decays. Some knock them because the price is on the lower end, that's because Johnny Morris knows where his bread and butter is (you and I). There's better boats out there with more options and better quality absolutely! At the end of the day you're on the water just like the rest of us and it's a good quality boat! I looked and looked for a Tracker all summer and fall. I didn't find what I wanted. Then just before I threw in the towel for the winter I just happened to find my G3. That's the only reason I don't have a Tracker at this point. That boat will last you the rest of your life and then some. ?

The Curse of Oak Island
I love seeing what people did, why, and how hundreds of years ago. I also love seeing these things unearthed after hundreds of years of being covered up. I finally finished watching this weeks episode last night. It'll be interesting to see what all they uncover in Smith's Cove. I'm curious to see what the explanations are for the numbering on the logs and I'm curious to see what the carbon dating says for the logs as well.

Been a long long time.....
I worked a show years ago for Quality Deer Management Association and like you I enjoyed talking to all kinds of people about hunting. I'd enjoy doing a fishing show once or twice a year. Good way to pass the winter.

12poundbass's annual winter thread
Thanks to El Nino the winter has been pretty mild, so no sub zero temps here. The coldest I believe we've had and it was in November was 12. I know some especially our Canadian members have probably had some sub zero temps. So here's what we'll do from now on, we'll chime in with any decent snowfall, current depth of snow, and any bitter cold temps. Since the southern boys have been getting snow they'll be able to join in for a few weeks until they start to warm up. West Michigan is getting lake effect snow today up to 4 inches. Where I am, merely a dusting. Our winter has been really mild which I'm ok with, last winter went on forever and a day. So lets hear what ya got! Pretty weak here!

MLF Starts This Saturday!
Yup! I don't remember who did it but someone jumped right in front of Wesley Strader. Fletcher Shryock even commented how ridiculous it was.

Winter Snow and Ice Storm Weekend of the 12th
After this I think the south will surpass Michigan at least in snow total for the year (central Michigan anyways) we haven't gotten squat for snow.

Could very well be. However I did see two "leaked" photos that appeared to be from someone's garage of the trolling motor in the box and it was a cable steer. Maybe they're playing it safe considering it's their first TM, but if that were the case I think it would fall flat considering the Ultrex and Ulterra units MK and the Xi5 MG has.

Some of the pros already do if you want to cough up a couple hundred bucks for one.- The Curse of Oak Island
I couldn't agree more. I don't think there's anything of any major value or significance, I just enjoy the historical aspect of it. I like you find it fascinating the work that went into the shafts and tunnels with no more than shovels and maybe buckets. I couldn't agree more. You sir are correct, way above my pay grade on that one. I think I'm reaching the intellectual level where I'm going to start learning two syllable words.- The Curse of Oak Island
Just be honest with yourself Deak the words they use on the show are too big. ?- The Curse of Oak Island
The first season was really really slow. But now they're finding thing, the excavation gets bigger each year too. The narrator is still the same guy who ends 99% of his sentences in the form of a question. After commercial breaks they still recap everything (so there's a ton of filler) but it has gotten. - BROWN BASS TOOLS ~ Questions & Answers
