  1. Senko Love asked that same question on a different thread and Catt said offshore. I don't know what Senko Lover did to get a strait answer (or is it?) but when I asked about Okeechobee...well that went over like a lead balloon. ? maybe Senko Lover is paying these guys, that's how he did so well last year. Lol
  2. At one time Bass Pro Shops sold replica mounts, I'm not sure if they still do or not with a look.
  3. I'm to the point in my life now where I'm ready and able to upgrade. I've been able to but I would've been majorly strapped. Looking at a tin boat. It all I need and all I want. There's nothing wrong with a glass boat I just don't need one for where I fish.
  4. I couldn't even buy a used one unless it was 15-20 years old!
  5. What I don't understand is you can get a longer power boat for that price or a little more. What makes a bass boat almost as expensive sometimes more expensive than a longer boat with more bells and whistles?
  6. I don't doubt it one bit.
  7. What you said is exactly why I'd never try skipping a jig towards a boat without a ton of pratice!
  8. Thanks for posting that. He is a machine when it comes to skipping. I didn't know too much about him either until the MLF and now I'm a fan.
  9. Last night I was watching the MLF episode that was on Saturday that had the winners from Grand Rapids Minnesota and what they did and used to win their event they were in. Andy Montgomery was on and he was explaining where and what he was pitching. What he did next blew my mind! He came up to a pontoon he said he was about 30-40 feet away he skipped his jig between the outboard and one of the toons! I'd guess maybe an 18" gap if that. On top of that the jig skipped to the front of the pontoon! You figure in the fact that he's 30-40 feet away and he margin for error is extremely small! Some maybe a lot of you can do this and aren't impressed, and I imagine most of the pros can do this. I'd call myself a novice angler and I'm fairly accurate with my caster, and I can skip with spinning gear but nothing like that. I've never tried to skip with a caster and if I tried something like that I'd probably hit the plastic motor cover, crack it, and walk with my tail between my legs up to the owners house in shame. These guys and those of you that can do this blow my mind. Just figured I'd share that!
  10. Nice! I don't know about Minnesota but in Michigan a 7lb bass is a monster.
  11. After reading that my head is like those people's on that commercial where the top of their head pops off! Lol go Wayne go! Oh an its spinning trying to process it all.
  12. Purely speculation here, I'm assuming you haven't contacted them yourself and the fact that you can't let this go you're looking to do more than a Q&A.
  13. I've been doing it for 3 or 4 years now and I still suck! Oh well its fun.
  14. My crystal ball is predicting this ones heading down the same road the other one went down.

Yes. Great story with a tragic ending.
  16. Is Lake Dixon still a hot spot like it was a decade or so ago when Dottie was swimming around?
  17. Is your 19.3 in the top 25?
  18. Not even close! I was up in the arctic circle on this secluded freshwater lake looking for the last dodo bird in exsistance and I came across this hole in the ice and wondered "how in the world did this get here?" I quickly found out when a polar bear popped up and he had this giant beautiful bass in it's mouth! Thankfully this polar bear had no teeth so the bass was still alive and intact. I kindly asked if I could have it and he slowly opened his mouth released the fish winked at me pointed to my camera....I handed him the camera he went back under so I had no camera for a picture. Oh well maybe next time! ? If that's not a fisherman's tale I don't know what is!!! Edit: true story though
  19. I'm with ya on that. I saw you could pick up a pretty loaded Ranger for around $75k!
  20. Everything you just explained is the MLF to a tee with the exception of a 5 fish limit. If you are given a five fish limit there's the potential for the leader board to sit idle for quite some time. With the MLF that possibility isn't as great. I agree there are times where someone gets out in from and you know by the end of the first period who's most likely going to win. Then like the final Edwin Evers was way behind I think well into the third period and made one hell of a final push to make it interesting. Some days it'll be a blow out others it'll be a nail biter...that's fishing for ya!
  21. They asked what a ram mount was? It's a marina? RED FLAG IS FLYING HIGH!!!
  22. Weird...the fine print just disappeared from my wish to be you for a week or two! ?
  23. What I did and I'm sure you could do it with the block. I predrilled my holes and then put silicone in the holes then install the transducer and have never had issues. What I'd do is the same thing plus run a bead of silicone around the back of the block and should be worry free for years.
  24. Ok. That makes sense just wanted to make sure it was still a valid practice.
