  1. it is sad to see loads of fish die, where I live we get ponds and lakes that turn over for various reasons. but it does show us how Mother Nature can control it self, and some things are just out of our hands.on the other hand you are also correct in saying man should be much more aware of our actions and consequences.
  2. the moral to this story is, don't act like a buzz bait when swimming where you think that 100lber might be lurking
  3. how are we supposed to eat if you keep turning them loose ?
  4. that's rough man!,at least you can smile about it. been bragging about you young gun slingers to my cousin down on lay lake al. ham down here for a few weeks working on a house,havent got much fishing in yet. keep swinging, I know we will see that winners trophy soon.

  8. quiet is great, whether I'm on a boat , in my wood shop or drinking coffee in the morning by a lake. have to include those grand babies loving on papaw, life is good!!!!
  9. smaller boats and mono line create a lot of give , and on something less than a medium heavy rod, long cast usually spell trouble, still sounds like a fun day ,your doing something right ,hooking into that many good ones.keep swinging you know they are there
  10. I think we all have lost that monster a time or two ,it is defiantly disapointing ,but now you know that she is there, and trying to get her again is very exciting. hope you land her and show us the pic's

  13. beautiful quiet evening on a local lake ,feel a tug set the hook it felt heave but not much fight, to my surprise I got this double!the next cast I caught one from behind.strange evening?. I send the pic to my wife, she kindly informed me to get off that was her bait!!.no wonder she is hard to beat ?

    when your good your good! if he would let me try I would own the boat, because he wouldn't be able to unwind all of the fishing line from the axles and prop?
  16. get comfortable with what ever you choose, the guys have given you great choices. don't try to be superman, practice on accuracy not distance. good luck.

  18. went out for a bit this evening caught a dozen, they were all a little deeper, caught 10 of them on a boot tail shad. the two best were 3 and 4 lb. they were really eating it !
  19. maybe Indiana is not so bad, we don't got any of those bait stealers, and don't want any! can't imagine wading the creek fishing, thinking I might be the bait no thanks!

  23. happy for you young man! "warning"!!!! this does become very addicting, the bait monkey will now chase you aggressively , the yard gets over grown because you can't mow from a boat, and when that big girl that you love jumps off or breaks your line, she will break your heart. keep swinging, show us that begun!!!

  25. another evening of bass fishing, caught about 20 between us.i hear "I got one" she hoist it in and says you take that thing , there is something wrong wth it I AIN'T TOUCHING IT!! I tell her it is crappie not a bass, and that is just a deformity. [ she still wouldn't touch it]?it was about a lb. and close to 14" caught it on a 1.0 square bill
