beautiful evening in souther Indiana. not been catching goodies to photo for you hog slayers , I am enjoying fishing with my wife in the evenings tho.

she did kick my but ,and kindly let me know it!

I have created a monster! I get home this evening she ask where are she going fishing. she caught 7 fish with two 3 lb. one 4 1/2 lb and broke a 6 to 7 off at the boat after I told her to tighten the drag a little. she wasn't very happy! she swam it by the boat three times ,I couldn't get my hand own her.the line snapped !what a hog !! I told her that is why they call it fishing and not catching. that didn't set well either.

I am not telling my wife any of these stories or showing her the pics, I just managed to seat talk her in the boat. she thought that our neighbors were crazy when they just bought a house in Florida and showed pics of gators in the canal . stated that she wasn't going fishing there!! funny how she isn't afraid of the ocean tho[sharks,stingray, jelly fish]

wow!congrats to her. part of who she is begins with grandparents ?,somewhere along the line education seemed to be overlooked in favor of sports, more scholarships are given from grades than playing sports. I am a fan of sports and my daughter did play.but her scholarships came from her grades, she was offered the chance to play college ball, but chose schooling instead. she now is in management for a major oil company. best wishes for your granddaughter.

cast longer distances in clearer water, try using slower approach let your plastic of choice set very close to shore line almost dead sticking then give slight bumps, in stained water the bass do seem to be less weary, use something that makes little more vibration. season does make a difference for example right now in my area bass are feeding on bluegill nesting[shallow]. look for shade or structure,the advantage of smaller bodies of water is it is easier to locate the fish. best of luck show us a bigun!!

after months of trying to talk my wife into getting in my small aluminum boat and going fishing with me on local ponds. [she doesn't swim very well]. she finally did. I even bought her a new outfit to use. after becoming comfortable about the boat being stable and she wasn't going to fall outside began casting. I tried to assist her in where to aim and how to retrieve, set the hook and so forth . she politely informed me "you cast where you want to and I will cast where I want". then almost immediately she landed her first beast ok ill be quiet ! we had a Wonderfull evening. she even said se wanted to go more with me. I am all in! great togetherness time. side note, if you see pic of me with black and blue marks she did threaten to hit me with the pole when I laugh at her when she looses one periodically.

there sure are amazing sights to see. makes life seem much more thankful.

Sorry for your loss , glad you got to be with your son. You will always have this wonderful memory, to make the bad days good. Made me think of my dad, passed in 98. He to always took me fishing. And I am proud he was my dad, as I am sure your son is and will always be.

I like evening , calm conditions , white, and sometimes a smaller size,the retrieve from cat tails or submerged grass, or I like to run it by a log or tree tops , good luck post pic of a big in caught by your buss bait. Warning top water bite on that is very infectious! Excitement level over the top!!

I would focus on soft plastics. Try different colors and techniques, from sinker to none and slow to fast. Cover of any kind helps the clearer the water the more distance usually helps. Best of luck, glad you are back

I cast a worm on the bank and slowly pull it into the water then just wait, sometimes there is no wait just slam! Seems that season doesn’t matter either. It is amazing how big bass can get in that shallow of water.

I recently was on lay lake in bama just on boat ride relaxing and observed a man using this technique, he was very successful. As I was watching I just seemed to know that he was going to catch fish. You could see his confidence level. I think this is greatly underlooked!confidence in a bait or technique seems to make a huge difference
