  1. I like to use a 7' MH fast rod, same a I use for my 110s. Works just fine. In a pinch, I also threw it on a 7' H rod, which worked equally well.
  2. Buzz baits have no place in my box. Can’t be paused, can’t be casted as far, and can’t be retrieved as slowly as a whopper plopper. The whopper plopper is just a more versatile bait. Any place with vegetation where I couldn’t get a plopper through, I’d reach for a Sprinker frog.
  3. Looks great! I'm eagerly awaiting my first order from you to arrive in my mailbox!
  4. Oh man I can't wait for a new Curado 70.
  5. This week I got a 7' Heavy Fast action Zillion for a great deal from a member here. Went out and picked up a Curado 70 to put on it. Once I got over the fact that it's a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod, it's become a fantastic combo.
  6. Yeah, Owners are great hooks.
  7. I got a brand new Curado 200 for right around $110 in an auction. BIY just seems to be a bit easier though.
  8. I fished very similar conditions the other day on the Willow Flowage, a couple hours east of where you are. Only technique that produced strikes was a frog in shallow water. Hopefully you have better luck than I did.
  9. Thanks for all the responses, all feedback is appreciated. I got 4 of them tonight in about 45 minutes on a swim jig with a Keitech trailer. No action on a spinnerbait, regular Keitech, or Sammy. Interesting how that works.
  10. No wrong doing on Berkley's part, it's business! But I'll still pay the little bit of extra money for a Plopper.
  11. Stop being condescending, it makes ya look bad. Anyways, I got all the info I need, have a good one!
  12. Another user already answered my question quicker than you could google it, thanks though
  13. Thanks for the suggestions, I never even considered a fluke, spinner, or ned rig. I'll give a fluke a shot tonight, I think that would best imitate the fleeing baitfish. Thanks!
  14. Never used one, but the GOAT Bill Dance used them so theres that...
