  1. There is really lots of room to that side, just the boat cover makes it look like there isn't. It also has room to adjust it closer to the console, I will adjust it more when I can get out on the water. But for me its a perfect location to be used in a multi purpose situation.
  2. I have it positioned so I can also turn it around when I'm on the trolling motor up front when I need to see side view imaging !
  3. Well I got around to installing my Garmin echMap 73sv today and I couldn't have installed it without the Ram mount !! These things are life savers, it allowed me to locate it anywhere I wanted.. Very strong and easy adjustable !!
  4. WOW !! that's a heck of a deal, I would jump on that !!!!!!
  5. So I checked the steering box and I don't have any adjustment visible anywhere. I can feel the stiffness in the box along with a sound of something rubbing if I move the wheel slightly, it makes a noise also... It seems to be narrowed down to inside the steering box. Any Ideas what could cause the resistance in the box ??
  6. Thanks for the replies guys !! I am very mechanically inclined and have always done my own maintenance and repair on all my boats/ outboards. I have everything greased properly and I am basically a maintenance nut lol. When I got this boat a few years ago it was like this, I just dealt with it. I was thinking since I cant move the motor by hand freely, that the problem is already narrowed down to the steering system. @fishnkamp We basically have the same setup as I also have the same motor. As suggested I will start by disconnecting the steering cable to the motor and see if I can move the motor freely by hand, Then I will see if there is a tension adjustment on the steering hub.
  7. Thanks, I will check that out. Any idea on the location of that ?
  8. He guys, I have a very clean and well kept 2003 Lowe Stinger 170w that has always seemed very hard to steer and becomes notchy when @ full throttle, and the faster you go the harder it steers, but steers ok when going slow ? I can steer it ok when on the trailer but if I grab the motor by hand I cant move it. All my past boats I was able to move the motor side to side by hand easily. Thanks for any input.
  9. I thought he was talking about the "Spinning" reel
  10. Yeah I would like to know where you got it for $83 also !!!! That reel is $159 !!
  11. I recently picked up the Garmin echomap 73SV @ Bass Pro for 449 on sale !! It has everything you are looking for. http://www.basspro.com/Garmin-EchoMAP-73SV-HD-Fishfinder-and-Chartplotter-with-LakeVu-HD-Maps/product/175153/
  12. Well I have about 38" of new snow on the ground from that storm the other day so its going to be awhile
  13. Ok well it sounds like the 30 will be good thanks for the replies, I just thought it looked a bit small compared to my Shimano 2500 series reels. The only bad review I found about the Supreme is it caused line twist with a few people.. Anyone have an issue with that ? Thanks.
  14. I just picked up a Pflueger Supreme SP30 spinning reel to pair with my 7' Carbonlite rod. After I got it home I started wondering if I should have gotten the SP35. What do you guys think is the best size for bass, The SP30 or SP35 ? I use 10 lb mono line.
  15. If it ran down in 4 hours I would think that battery was on its way out to begin with. What are the CCA of the starting battery ?
  16. That's not good.. I have that one !!! and I just picked it up last season ! Lets hope it was just yours that it happened to lol
  17. What charger did you have ? Wow only lasted 3 years !!
  18. So I held it where I think it would work best under the step and it looks perfect there !!! The only problem this way I see, there is no adjustment to slide it side to side on the bracket.. So I would have to place it perfectly. How much below the hull should the Transducer be or should it be even ? Where I held it looked to be about 1/4 below. " I see what you mean about the cable Wayne, Its almost designed for this situation " Thanks !!
  19. With so many options out there you will start in one place and end up in another.. Ask me how I know... I would study and understand all features available in todays sonar technology world and see what you need / don't need.. Then move on to Price VS features of different brands.. Like Wayne said.. What Helix 7 ? There are so many different versions available. Just take your time and arm yourself with knowledge before you buy.
  20. I was wondering if it would be possible to mount the transducer "Under the step" This would allow me more locations to mount it. I just don't have the depth I need where originally discussed. I would have to have the bracket in the position like pictured but mounted under the step. Would this work ?
  21. I just picked up the non chirp model @ BPS also... $250 difference just for chirp ?? No way !!
  22. $230 in parts ????? what are the parts ?
  23. Actually Its very vague on installation, not much detail on that.... I supplied a PDF file of what I received with it.. Transom_Mount_Transducer_Install_EN-US.pdf
