  1. I prefer 4.9 to 5.4 gear ratios myself for deep divers. If you are referring to deep cranking, a fast ratio reel will put a lot of stress on your wrists and arms at the end of the day as already mentioned.
  2. The Energy PT baitcasters are great reels. I have an older EX500 that is probably 20 years old and it is amazing how many miles of cranking a lipless it has on it. It is nothing close to as smooth as todays reels are, but it has never missed a beat. By far the toughest reel other than an older ABU 5500 that I have ever seen.
  3. The Poe's are only worth about what they cost new then. That DB3 is not one of the hard to find colors that brings the best money.....but if it is a Winter Haven-era made model it brings more.
  4. Same here.

One of the best flipping baits you can use in heavy vegatation.
  6. Got a bad batch of 1,000 sickle hooks one time. They apparently were not tempered right and would break in the hook bend easily.
  7. Every spinning rod I have or will ever have are TN handles. And I have a reel good supply of them put back...

    Direct with a loop knot.
  9. Topwater.....pistol gripped short rods for great accuracy around a lot of cover or docks.
  10. I always preferred the Rapala Rattling Raps.
  11. I have been doing well lately using a Zoom Swimming Fluke as a trailer.
  12. If I am in a boat, the IPOD is on.
