  1. I will second that.......not only as a jig trailer but also on a swing-head by itself.
  2. I have witnessed times that it outfishes the silent ones....and vice-versa.
  3. Loop knots on both, no split rings or snaps.
  4. Personally I use Falcon Medium-Light pistol grip rods for my topwaters when using Spooks and Pop-R's (I fish a Pop-R like a walker and not a chugger). I am mainly making short casts under overhanging trees and docks for the most part and a shorter, slower action rod allows me to make more accurate roll casts...... #17 pound test mono.
  5. On a Pop'R are only for me. But I fish one of those as a walking bait and with a lot less forward movement than most do.
  6. I'm old school......Billy Phillips Buzz Jewel for me.
  7. I am trying to decide between Phoenix and Skeeter myself.

I have that very rifle. I own 3 204's....its a great round. The set trigger on the 527 is sweet.
  9. I live in East TN......home to several different flat-sided balsa crank makers. So yea, I am kind of partial to them.
  10. So, you are saying that the bass in your lakes still bite an Alabama Rig as good today than they did 5 years ago? Definitely not true here in TN. First time anglers that couldn't catch a fish at Captain D's were catching 30-50 fish a day on that thing when it first became popular. There hasn't been a tournament won on it in 2 years that I know of.
  11. Gotta remember that whole new generations of bass have mostly only seen the latest baits and have gotten used to seeing them. Baits from 20 years ago are something they haven't seen and work better most of the time.

Both good suits.....I have a Frabil F4 and like it......another good option.
  13. Been thinking a larger size would be good myself....glad to see it.
