  1. I put it roughly in the middle most of the time..I don't worry about being exact.......I just eyeball it.
  2. The only MegaBass items I have are rods, nine of them, and jerkbaits. All I know is they were worth every penny.
  3. That's too bad.
  4. Well considering that several of my go to waters have no shad and my number one color with cranks, spinnerbaits, and swim jigs is shad..........I'm not big on match the hatch. A bass does not swim up to engulf a baitfish and suddenly realize it's the wrong color and turn away.
  5. Haha, very true.........I remember once fishing with a friend and what we were doing at first was not working. He asked me what I thought the problem was and I replied that it was obvious the bass were not reading the same articles as us.
  6. I'm another one in the camp of blend in when the water is clear, stand out when it isn't.
  7. Poppers and smaller topwaters I use either a M/Mod or M/Fast depending on what else I'm doing. Buzzbaits I use my frog rod, H/Fast, I started doing it a couple years ago and like it.
  8. Reaction Innovations Spicy Beaver when I want bait action and a slower fall Sweet Beaver when I want less action.
  9. I like chartreuse in murky water. Either in the skirt or a dipped tail on the trailer.
  10. Nice!
  11. I don't wait long enough........I'm an addict...........lol
  12. I stand and go, as long as nobody is around.
  13. You know you can replace hooks for next to nothing right?
  14. Congrats!
  15. What are you looking to gain by upping the lb test on the braid? I fish jigs in a lot of slop as well as rip swim jigs through some nasty stuff and never had an issue with 30. I'm with the above post regarding using the lightest you can get away with.
  16. I see no benefit or need to switch from the 30 pound braid on your MH/Fast. I use 30 lb braid for jigs. I also see no need to switch your 12 lb flouro unless you go down a bit to 10 or 8.
  17. I'll stick with my Keitech Swing Impact Fat
  18. I use both 20 lb Seaguar Smackdown and 12 lb Tatsu for your stated application. First year with the Tatsu and have no complaints yet.
  19. I prefer cork but have never not bought a rod based on the handle composition.
  20. I keep mine in a 3700 box, stored horizontally in my kayak crate. No issues.
  21. I'm not knowledgeable enough regarding the inner workings of the reels but can tell you the Elite is smoother in both casting and reeling. A much noticeable difference.
  22. I use a Tatula Elite, 6.3 ratio. Loaded with Seaguar Smackdown 30 pound braid. It's on a Megabass OrochiXX Spec R.
  23. I bought a Zillion and actually prefer the Elite. I'm glad I actually like the less expensive option for once. LOL
