So what did you get?
Wife and kids got me a Lews Laser combo. Never been much of a Lews guy, so I'll give it a whirl.

Vibe Shearwater 125
Yeah I really like the layout on this boat. Seems like they took a lot thought into the placement of features. Can’t pre order but will checking reviews once they hit the market.

Anybody see these? Looks like I sweet deal for a pedal kayak under 2k.

economy braided line
I used Godline last year and will be continuing this year. The stuff is good and very reasonably priced. I also use it in the salt too.

Where do river bass go?
So last week I fished a housing canal area on a coastal NJ river. I’ve caught some fish here before but only dinks. Well with spring finally here in NJ they were getting up on Ned’s and we caught some solid 3+ pounders. The real question is where the heck do these fish go after the spawn? Again only sinks during the rest of the year and not many. I figured one direction is a no go, it gets salty quick that way. But don’t know how far up the river to look for these guys when it’s not spawn. Hipe I explained that well enough.

Three lure choices
Thanks for the local insight. Any other areas around the Egg Harbor City area you're keen on?

Three lure choices
Long post warning. 1. I fish hammonton, maple lake, oak pond and recently did a trip to newton lake. I mostly fish Atlantic County due to trying maximize my fishing time. 2. So I only picked three lures because I find myself getting lure ADD. I'll throw something for like 10 casts the shift to another and so on. I wanted to work on three baits till I knew them in and out before shifting to more. Thanks for for all the replies and look forward to more advice!

Three lure choices
So I new to bass fishing, started last September, and I'm trying to find my "groove". I had some success with a weightless senko during the pre spawn but now am only catching maybe one fish a trip. I thought that I should master three different lures for three different types of fishing, moving bait, bottom fishing and finesse. My thought is the chatterbait, Texas rigged senko and dropshot. Any ideas if those are good techniques to start with or suggestions are welcomed.

What new method do you plan to add to your arsenal this year?
Trying to add weightless fluke and the NED rig to my limited bag of tricks.

Bank to kayak
I'm a new shore to kayak fisherman and I can say it's totally worth it. Went out for the maiden voyage of my Ascend 10t and even though I only got two fish and it was raining I loved every minute of it. I went to a lake that I've pounded plenty of times on the bank and with the yak I had access to some really money spots.
