Cochichuate State Park has a huge body of water but Ive never really seen anyone with decent bass. Anyone fished this lake? Is it worth it? Any tips for bass? Thanks folks. Also, what about Morses Pond or Lake Waban (Wellesley College).

I use 1/0 circles when wacky rigging senkos and those hooks seem to work fine. I was just hoping the 1/0 size Gamakatsu Skip Gaps would work for 5 inch senkos. Maybe get smaller senkos?

I've yet to fish weedless. Going to give it a shot. Bought some of these in 1/0 size (only ones in stock). I have 5 inch senkos at home. I know the recommended size is 3/0 but any reason the 1/0 size wont work. Whats the con of going smaller? Less hookups, lost fish, more wear on plastics? Thanks.

Yeah I think my basement ranges from low 40s to high 60s during the year. I'd probably only need them in April next year. Heck, thats a long time to keep them. Not sure if I would get any mature bred worms by Oct for fall fishing so Im probably looking at spring. Do you think its worth trying to keep them over the winter? Too much of a hassle?

Do you think I could keep them in my garage over the winter? It doesnt drop below freezing in there but I'm guessing it gets into the low 40s. Would the worms survive seeing as though they are in a raised tote vs underground? Also, what worm do you guys recommend breeding?

Thanks for all the tips. I live in MA and my basement is in the 60s I think. I believe it should be cool enough. A big tote + compost would probably be a good place to start. It's late in the season to do it this year but I may do it next year. Heck it would be great to use the leftovers to aerate my lawn! BTW - my grass is too tall (4inches) & thick to catch nightcralwers. You cant see them underneath.

Could I get some at Walmart, throw some compost in a tote, drill holes in the tote, and hope for the best? Or is it a lot more involved? Have you guys tried this before? Not a big deal to buy $4 worms at the Mart but still, it would be nice just to have a fresh supply in my garage spring to fall. And as for feed, would grass clippings work?

What about bluegills? I cant see to get them to bite.

For lily pads (snag free, weedless), what would be your weapon of choice? Zoom fluke or Yum Dinger worm?

If fishing right into lily pads, would you use a weight or not? Also, whats the best hook to use for this setup? Thanks.

Are beetlespins good for Bluegills?

I fished a senko the other day for an hour, nothing. Threw on a beetlespin. Hooked a yellow perch on my first cast. Ive caught yellow perch and chain pickerel with them, never bass.

Would these be good to cast right into lily pads without getting snagged or weeds?

I've never used one of these but they seem very popular on the BP website. Comes in packs of 10. Do they last or basically tear apart after each trip? I use YUM Dinger worms with wacky o-rings, and I think a single pack will last me 100 years. Cheap and durable. Im very happy about that. But what about the Zoom Flukes? How durable are they? Do they last?

I use braid >> swivel >> mono leader >> snap >> lure. I use the snap to switch between the rapala original floating minnow, beetlespins and a 1/0 bass hook + wacky senko / o-ring. This is what I use 99% of the time. Does the job. But what about moving the snap to the braid, and then pre-trying mono leaders to lures with a swivel on the end? So braid >>> snap >>> swivel >>> mono leader >>> lure? Do you think this would be better for presentation / lure action?

The new model of the GX2 has been out for a while now. Anyone have any issues fishing this rod with braid? Does it cut into the steel guides over time (particularly on the tip)? Thanks.

I'm looking for a battery replacement for my trolling motor (my current one cant hold a charge anymore). I currently have a Mighty Max Battery 12V 35AH U1 but it's very heavy for my inflatable boat! Any recommendations?

There are obviously MANY variables with respect to habitat that result in trophy bass, and they all interact with each other making it even more complicated. But in terms of a guideline for size of pond for bigger bass, how many acres are we talking here? Put it this way. If you could buy a piece of land with your own pond, how big would you want it to be (not worrying about all the other variables). Thanks.
