  1. I took a trip with Bill last year. Had a blast and caught some big fish! http://www.laketohotackle.com/Mobile.aspx
  2. Actually picked up some wood yesterday to give it a shot.
  3. He does some great work. Makes me want to give it a shot.....and not come close lol
  4. d**n good deal. Pretty decent rod.
  5. Always heard great things about them. Always 100% inspect a kayak that’s shipped to you, no matter where you buy it. Plenty of em get destroyed in transit.
  6. I did a kayak trip in the sound with Rob Alderman. Good times and great gear. Check him out. Outerbanks Kayak Fishing.
  7. Bass can be caught in the sound, up in the canals. Not sure about other strictly freshwater spots.
  8. Anyone got some ideas/experience?
  9. I’ve got a family trip coming up in late September. Definitely want to do some bass fishing while we’re down there. Can yall recommend any guides on Lake Toho for a 3 man trip?

Welcome. Practice at home with that baitcaster. Waiting until you hit the water is a frustrating mistake.
  11. I catch em occasionally. Just let em go. They’re fun to catch either way. Always put up a good fight. But I’ve never seen em in such numbers. Maybe they’re spawning? I don’t have any clue to their lifecycle, since I don’t target them.
  12. Thanks. I’ve been looking at these as well.
  13. I saw it in person at the Richmond Expo. Great package for the price. The carpet looked better than I thought it would. Might just order one soon.
  14. Sounds about right. I may end up with the same setup as there are a couple waterways with no limits around here too.
  15. I’m guessing it’s an all or nothing. Easy way to keep the price down. In some lakes around me, SE Va, you can still have a main big engine like a 40hp or whatever, with either the prop removed or the gas line removed. They cannot run. Most of these lakes are city water supply lakes too. However, in some you can’t even have the bigger engine. So a 9.9 kicker would work. But a 9.9 pushing a boat that size isn’t easy. Plus the weight of the main engine. My guess for this is due to the layout/size of the lakes. A lot of them are not really wide open, but long and narrow. Maybe it’s a skier thing too.
  16. It’s a 16’ 8” looks like a solid solid deal to me. I’d like to see one in person. Especially with the pressed bottom. Most of the trackers I’ve seen in person at Bass Pro had some really bad welds on them. Just wish i didn’t fish HP restricted lakes. Wonder what it would cost with a 9.9.
  17. Congrats!!!
  18. Yea im seeing a few and coming to that same conclusion. Nice. I wouldn't mind it but I'm not sure I'd get the value out of it. Not many 5hp or less used are showing up locally.
