  1. I use the same binders as this and will say that they are awesome. I can fit way more into it than advertised and they are inexpensive online. Whoops, this!

I do 99% of my shopping online due to living in a more rural area. Well that and I’m uncomfortable around more than a handful of people. Honestly I don’t find their selection to be that great due to the fact that I can find anything I want online and still beat their price. I understand they are a major outdoor store but I prefer smaller local places if I’m going to shop in person.
  3. Storm Arashi (blue back herring) rattling flat 7 caught me this one which was just over 6lbs if I remember right. Long and lean she was.
  4. Whew this was an old thread, but hey no one can gripe about not using the search function. Looks like he dug this one out of the grave. Lol it’s all good and fun though so... I’ve always had good luck with the Bill Lewis, Cotton Cordell, Red Eyes, and this year I’ve been using the Arashi’s. They are different but I like them. My only complaint is they have limited colors and only one size.
  5. Yep I have troubles with them as well, I find it really tough trying to fish them out of the kayak
  6. I doubt Service Merchandise will be back....
  7. 21 people already signed up.. DANGGGgggg
  8. Yep I got it done and I’m set and ready to go. This will be my first time but I’m not scared I have confidence in my luck!
  9. I think I’m in. I signed up now just figuring out how to get in the league.
  10. I buy the big berkley ones on eBay and they have been great for me. I can fit way more in them than what they advertise.
  11. Man I’m jealous.... you got to eat a frozen cookie.
  12. I was always a strong swimmer up until around 2010 when I had a back injury rear it’s ugly head. I never had any idea of how it happened but I woke up one morning and it never went away. The pain progressed daily and in 2013 I had surgery. Long story short I wound up have severe nerve damage in my left leg and foot. I’ve come to find that there is only one stroke that I’m anygood at and it’s the side stroke. I cannot kick my left leg much so when I do it’s pretty darn funny cause it just makes this huge splash in the water with a loud ploosh sound. So nope I stink at swimming now and always wear my pfd because I’m so nervous about falling in.
  13. I handled it and thought it was really nice but I am having a hard time spending my money on a house brand over name brand. I’m sure it’s made by one of the name brands but without knowing much I can’t pull the trigger.
  14. Thanks A-Jay, that’s really what I’ve been wondering. I like the your trip link to.
  15. Out of curiosity why is there so much dislike or disdain for Quantumn reels? I’ve been looking at reels and handling them because I want to add one to my arsenal. Honestly I really liked the Smoke I was looking at and I was handling it next to the Shimano’s, Daiwas, Lews, and Abu’s. I didn’t buy it because I not many people on here have much to say about them. Is it the durability, quality, customer service? I’ve just never seen anyone say what exactly they didn’t like but it’s discouraged me enough not to buy one as of yet.
  16. I spent 34yrs of my life reeling fish in left handed with a spinning reel. It wasn’t until the summer of 2016 that I bought a baitcaster and learned how to use them. But it’s been a little weird and odd feeling to me. I love all my reels and won’t change them yet, however I am adding a new reel to my arsenal which will be a lefty. I’ve been dying to go back to left hand retrieve so I’ve decided to buy one to match with a new pitching/flipping rod. I am right handed but my dad taught me from a young age to use my week hands, arms, legs, and feet to overcome the weakness of it. Now I’m ambidextrous but find I prefer to use my left side for somethings and this is one of them.
  17. Congrats Fred, better luck to me next time.
  18. I was finally able to get the other image sized to a point I could upload it. Man it’s thought to figure out exactly what to do to get it sized right.
  19. Look into the squirrel tail worm would be my suggestion.
  20. I think it’s about placement more than anything. Of course there are other factors but there are so many creature baits out there that are similar you can really just pick and choose any of them. I personally use Pitboss’s, Z-Craws, Brush Hogs, and any of the multiple Craw baits I have in the color the fish want.
  21. Not exactly what I was after but this fat Saugeye must have liked that black back and white Berkley Bad Shad I was throwing. He weighed in at 7.28lbs and put up a nice long fight. Man are they delicious eating.
  22. Take my son more and have a great time learning and experiencing the great outdoors.
  23. That was my main hang up as well. I want to try a lefty for flippin and pitchin really bad but I just thought this one might work well right handed. Other than that how are the Ardent reels in general?
