How often do you catch a big bass?
Depends on the moods I'm in. Sometimes I want to catch big fish only. I will up the bait size and head to lakes where I know the monsters live. This increases the likelyhood that I will get skunked however. Other times I just want to catch fish consistently. There are those lakes that have a ton of bass but nothing over 3lb, sometimes they are fun.

What is the best and most value priced Hollow Body Frog that you do not have to squeeze the water out of?
You know I only run the Spro poppin frog and don't own the regular bronzeye. Guess I should have mentioned that.

Legendary bait pics
I still own a flip phone so uploading pics is tough. Just imagine a once black buzzbait, most of the paint chipped off exposing bare lead, the skirt hanging on by a thread, and main wire bent and re bent in a line that you could call "kinda straight."

Spro never seem to fill up. For a more value based, the Savage Gear lily ninja is my favorite frog. Doesn't fill up and walks great. They do get a bit jacked up after you catch a few fish though.

Favorite bass crankbait!
KVD 1.5 and lately I've been loving the Rapala scatter rap crank.

Schooling Shad
When I get on a school of bait fish boiling up I grab weightless plastic. Trick worm or Yum dinger. I try to cast to the sides of the school and just let it sink slowly. Works pretty well.

Spinnerbait/buzzbait
Exactly. I have never lost a bait due to a knot breaking or coming undone with palomar. If I get hung up real bad hooks get bent but the knot comes back fine.

Favorite topwater?
For smallies, its buzzbaits. Unless conditions on my local river are crazy, I almost always start with a buzzbait and don't switch until it stops working. Booyah with the clacker and skirt removed. Lately I have have been running beaver style baits instead of skirt, sometimes a ripped in half Yum dinger.

High End Glasses
Walmart $15 polarized (strike king, spiderwire, whatever...) Unless you need a prescription, take all that money and spend it n tackle.

Jerkbaits
I really like Yozuri jerk baits. Love the Rapala shadow rap.

Lightning while fishing?
Last week I got caught in a storm that rolled in quickly. I paddled to shore and took shelter in a broken wall of an old mill. I know better than to be out there in lightning.

What brand frog and color do you use and why?
Regular frogs: KVD sexy frog, Savage gear lily ninja. Popping frog: Spro, Booyah pad crasher Colors: Like others have said, I only pay attention to the belly and its either white or black. To be honest I have yet to find a situation where color makes that much difference throwing frogs. It really doesn't matter.

The Fruck, Bat, and Bluegill from Savage Gear
Cool walking bait. Not worth the $17 they are going to charge.

Are you lucky?
Yes I am very lucky. My wife is great. She never gives me any grief when it comes to fishing. Our first child is due any day now and all she says is "Just keep your phone on." When the baby is here I wont be able to hit the water 4 days a week anymore and I understand that, but she keeps assuring me that once or twice a week is in the cards. I always tell her that she lied to me when we first started dating. "You said you liked to fish," I say. To which she replies "Yeah, once in a while, you want to fish every day as long as you can. You have an addiction."

Rapala Shadow Raps...
I like them and have done pretty well. For whatever reason, they tend to catch a lot of bluegill. Not that I want to catch them, but every time I throw a shadow rap, I will at some point catch a bluegill.

Lilly pad removal.
No, I get it and it's a shared pond for all the members so it's important to keep the members happy. We have a pond at the club I'm a member of so I get the concept. Personally, trout fishing stockies is the most boring, useless activity in all the fishing world. But alas, I am not the only person on this rock hurling through space. Will copper sulfide kill lilies or just milfoil?

Using spoons to catch bass.
My father caught a lot of small mouth out of the river throwing Acme Kastmasters, with an occasional walleye. I never used them much because I got hung up a lot. They work though.

Lilly pad removal.
Let the pads be and catch big bass on hollow body frogs.

Bass preferance
Depends on where the food is. I like to pick docks, so that my choice.

Most Annoying Things while Fishing
Those poor kids. Can you imagine if your father went around harassing random people like that when you were a child?

From Flavor of the Month to Famous - List these lures
Suicide duck hasn't caught me a thing. I need to devote more time to it and I just don't want to. The Double buzz has landed me some good fish, its just not ideal in most cases. It's a cool concept and fits a niche, but most of the time I opt for a regular buzzbait.

Need a lip gripper
I have "The Fish Grip" for when I get into the occasional catfish or pike and it works great.

From Flavor of the Month to Famous - List these lures
Interesting topic. I will shy away from types of lures (buzzbait, hollow body frog, crankbait etc.) and stick with brand specific mainstays. Famous: Rapala floater, Arbogast jitterbug/hula popper, Eppinger Daredevle spoon, Berkley power worm, Acme Kastmaster. Flavor of the month/hype is much harder because it is really subjective. Some guys love lures that I hate and hate lures I love. But off the top of my head KVD poppin perch, Suicide duck, maybe whopper plopper double buzz.

KVD 1.5 Square Bill - Really?
The KVD 1.5 is my favorite square bill. I haven't had a problem with the hooks. Like others have said maybe you got a junk batch.
