I have done well with the Venom Hot Rods in the past. I fish them weightless or with a 1/8oz. bullet weight.
  2. There is no such such thing as "the best lipless crank". Which bait I use, depends on the conditions. Clear water=silent lipless crank, deep water= heavy lipless crank, stained water= loud lipless crank......................... etc. etc.
  3. Stringjam, if you like the Jackall TN-70 you're gonna love this bait: http://www.ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=1652&name=TD%20PRO'S%20VIBRATION%20107%20S%20SILENT&manufacturename=DAIWA%20(TEAM%20DAIWA)

It must be the water temp. It's in the low 40s. I just found a bait in one of my boxes that I long forgot about. Jackall RS-225. Sure looks similar.

Mine floats. Yes, I changed the trebles and split rings. I only use feather trebles on topwater baits.

I agree, the x-rap deep doesn't have the same action as the shallow model but the x-rap shad doesn't look anything like the x-rap and besides that it's a floater and not a suspender like the x-rap.

  17. That's so true but that gambler bait just looks plain silly to me. But then who knows, it might just be new lure of the year. http://www.***.com/descpageGAMBSOFTBGAMBSB-GBSB.html
  18. These snaps work better in gin clear water when the fish are real spooky with silent jerkbaits, silent lipless cranks and silent crankbaits.
