  1. I would like to know if anyone has them. I haven't seen many good reviews for them.
  2. First open tournament of the year is March 31st IF the water is thawed. Hopefully, these will be prime for ice out.
  3. Not necessarily Lake of the Ozarks, just a lake in the Ozarks.
  4. This is a bay arm of an Ozark Lake. Virtually every cove has flooded trees. Any takers? Lets start with Spring. Water temps rising into the mid-50's, maybe 60's.
  5. I read a lot about people saying "chatterbaits for muddy water and grass lines". That being said last year was the first year I ever threw a chatterbait. Before I started reading "where to throw them" I had a lot of luck throwing chatterbaits in open water on the outside of deep (12-15') docks in clear water under schools of crappie (two of my biggest fish of 2017 were caught this way). Although, I also had good luck parallel to shallow grass lines and rocky water breaks in muddy water. This basically would have been all of the places I would have thrown a spinnerbait. But then again, I tend to throw whatever is tied on at just about everything.
  6. I made this. The most expensive part was the rack for the top of my truck since I didn’t have one. As far as the tube is concerned, the flex seal is 100% for cosmetics and is the most expensive part of the tube. I needed 3 cans to cover mine, so the flex seal was $45. Silicone will be the solution to keep it water resistant. The conduit carriers are not precise in size to fit around the pipe so there will be a bit of a gap between the pipe that will need some silicone. You can get the conduit carrier ends for either 6” or 8” pipe at Home Depot. Mine is 6” and will easy fit 15 rods only. Up to 8 baitcasters with reels if I’m willing to puzzle them in there. As far as banging around is concerned, glue a piece of foam cap at the end of the conduit carrier before you fasten fasten it to the pipe. The door has a piece of foam on it already. When travelling, fasten all of your rods together with a bungee or Velcro rod rap before placing them in the tube, then wrap a towel around both ends so they fit somewhat snug into the tube. Let me know if you have any questions.
  7. Currently hold licenses in NE, IA, MO and KS. Had temp licenses in OK, AR and SD last year. Gonna try to add a trip to CA this year.
  8. Cool, I will just call the store... I just type “@“ and then immediately start typing the username (must be a space before “@“ and no space after “@“ should look like “@volzfan” without the quotations @volzfan59
  9. @volzfan59 do you know if he stores are going to restock during the Spring Sale? Seems like everything is mostly already picked through. Wondering if it’s worth trying again on a strategic date. Thanks
  10. Hmmm a softer tip might not be so bad for skipping. I'm on the fence as whether to go for this rod with TW gift cards, or shell out another $180 somewhere else for the Andy Montgomery 6' 9" Tatula Elite.
  11. And a mag wart or two
  12. Do you feel 6'10 MH/F is a good rod for skipping docks? Enough backbone? I was going to buy the Andy Montgomery Tatula Elite 6'9 Heavy, but they are out of stock at TW (have a Gift card) and apparently they have been discontinued.
  13. On Table Rock you will want to look into a Storm Wiggle Wart, SPRO Rockcrawler, or 6th Sense Curve 55 as a primary crankbait to throw.
  14. Check craigslist and or Facebook marketplace for an older jet ski trailer or small sailboat trailer. Can usually be found for around $100-$150.
  15. My wife was giving me a hard time about having 13 combos. I asked her to count her shoes. 47 pairs. She stopped bugging me. Hahaha
  16. **moot** ?
  17. I was driving through KC from Omaha this afternoon and it was amazing to see open water. We are all still frozen in Omaha. Who needs a warm water discharge when theres no ice? Haha
  18. Just saw a convoy of the heritage boats loaded on the back of semis heading north on highway 49 just south of Harrisonville, MO.
  19. Americanlegacyfishing or sportsmansoutfitters https://www.ebay.com/p/2017-Shimano-Curado-K-CU200KHG-7-4-1-Low-Profile-Casting-Reel/28013645415
  20. Join a bass club. I would bet if you join one with 20+ members there will be plenty of them that fish frequently enough for you to get out on the water on a regular basis. Additionally, you will likely learn about what kind of boat is good to start with and whats worth it.
  21. That combo will be $119.99 during the spring sale... +1 for spending your entire budget on electronics. Personally, I find it more difficult to make big purchases than small purchases simply because I reach the money needed for the small purchases first and don’t let my budget reach the large purchases. Haha
  22. Confirmed in the other Spring Classic thread that the Carbonlite 2.0 combo will not be eligible for the coupons.
