Boom Boom Frog?! Frog fur??
I have 2 Stanford frogs. The 1 is definitely softer than the other. 1 is about halfway between the Spro and the Pad Crasher while the other is closer to the Pad Crasher than the Spro.

Boom Boom Frog?! Frog fur??
I have a few but haven't used them. I think the eye on the bottom will make a difference but we'll have to see about the "Frogfur".

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
I was out last night to a lake I haven't bass fished before. It was dead until I pulled the ol' ned rig out. I had 3 bass,1 crappie, and 1 bluegill on a 1/16th oz green pumpkin TRD. 2 bass were smaller than the crappie I caught but the other was a nice fat 20" mama. Didn't get a weight or pics on her but probably 4.5 - 5 lb.

Lure swap
either way works for me.

Looking for a kayak dolly.
I use the Boonedox Landing Gear. I know, it makes the front end heavier but it works really well for me. I roll the yak into the water and when I'm launched I flip the wheels up. Then when I'm done I flip the wheels down and I can pull it right out of the water. A plus is that the wheels give it a bit more stability when climbing on and off.

Thin lipless crankbait
I have painted some Megabass Vibra-X knockoffs that were pretty thin, but I'm not 100% sure how they compare to the real Megabass.

Yakers what kayak do you run?
I have a Native Titan 10.5 that I got a couple months ago. Pros- Stable Has lots of gear tracks Super comfortable seat Propel drive is a big plus Plenty of space in the back Storage under the seat and on the sides Cons- Kinda expensive (not like a Hobie though) Heavy (I use the landing gear, couldn't do without it) The vertical rod storage is only usuable with the landing gear if you get a clip of some kind that mounts on the landing gear Overall its a solid boat and seems well made.

clear water advice
I think the DNR stocked some channel catfish (I should check for sure). I just don't know why someone would plant brushpiles or whatever in 50' of water...

clear water advice
Yes, that makes sense.

clear water advice
I figure if it was brush, I would have snagged it with my blade, it was like this for 100 yds or so. There was also a lot of little pods of suspended fish in 20-30'.

clear water advice
Theres a 120 acre lake that I like to fish since its super nice, has clear water, very little boat traffic but I am having a hard time catching anything decent. I know theres big bass there, I caught my PB there. The problem is that its a big fishbowl and has very little mid depth cover and structure. Visibility varies through the year but usually 5-10'. During summer I can always catch some 10-12" dinks up shallow. I was out tonight and got skunked. I threw blades, jerkbaits, cranks, dropshot, grub. Water temp was 41 and it was very overcast with a light ESE breeze. I marked lots of fish I deep water but couldn't get them to bite. Here's what my screen looked like in deeper water.

Lure swap
mine will be sent out tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing other peoples' work!

suspending jerkbaits
Do you fish the deep husky different than others? What setup do you use?

trapper treble hooks
Just got my 2018 Lurecraft catalog and they had the Trapper treble hooks. Has anybody used or seen them? Will they hold fish better? I lost a big fish last night on a Wiggle Wart with Gamakatsu 471 hooks and got to thinking that these just might work, but they seem a little gimmicky.

Lure swap
So how many jerkbaits should I get painted up?

Lure swap
Sounds good! I'll send mine UPS and include a return shipping label if that works.

Lure swap
6. nighthawk25 I'll be painting some blanks too if that's ok.

Airbrushed what are you using
I use an Iwata Revolution BR. I might get me the HP-C Plus which would help me when I'm doing bigger batches.
-
Lure swap
I would be interested in sending crankbaits.

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Got out yesterday to a small pond in town and got 4 small ones in 45 min. Today I took the new kayak to a small lake near me and had 14 in 4 hours. Most on a gold bladebait and 2 on a crankbait. Water temp was 45 deg and slightly stained. All the fish were under 12".

My creations
Those look great! I have made a few cedar lures that turned out so-so. Whats the best way to sand them so they look smooth and rounded? The cedar is harder than balsa and kinda difficult to shape correctly.
