What technique catches you the most fish?
Being a beginner to bass fishing, I haven't had much luck yet. The two times I have caught a bass was one on a Carolina rig with a 1/4oz egg slip sinker, 3/O offset round hook with a Zoom U Tail Tequila Sunrise colored worm and one on a weightless Texas rig with a Zoom U Tail Junebug Red colored worm. I don't get to fish anywhere near as much as I would like to so perfecting any of it has been challenging to say the least.

to guys that use all spinning gear????
I'm in central Louisiana and most of the water I get to fish is murky to muddy or at best stained. I have a 6' medium Matzuo rod (need a new spinning reel for it), a 7' medium Shakespeare combo and a 6'6" medium fast Lew's combo. All spinning reels. My favorite is the Lew's. I have 50lb Power Pro Spectra braid moss green color on all of them. I sometimes put some Trilene XL 14-20lb leaders on, but not much seems to work for me right now. I am new to bass fishing and guess I just gotta learn the ropes a bit more. I like your setups using all braid. I think I'm gonna stay with just braid too, unless I come across some clearer water.

New here from Pineville, Louisiana
Hello everyone. I'm new here from Pineville, Louisiana. I'm originally from Shreveport. Moved here 3 years ago to kinda get away from it all. I grew up fishing alot on Mill Creek Reservoir in Saline, Louisiana where my grandparents and some aunts and uncles had a campsite on an acre or so of land right on the lake. As I got into my teen's I lost touch with fishing and here about 3 months ago my girlfriend talked me into going fishing with her finally. I forgot how much I loved it. Since then I'm really into bass fishing, unfortunately I don't have much skill at it. I subscribed to the BR YouTube page and have learned some things and ended up joining the newsletter also. A couple days ago I joined this site and I really enjoy all the articles. I have plenty of questions but I will see if past posts have already asked them and answered them for what I'm looking for. I gotta get back to work now, lunch break is over. I'll be back after 4:30pm CT. Have a great day everyone!

Getting to know the BassResource Staff
Great bios everyone. Thank you Glenn and all who make this site possible. I've only been bass fishing since late March early April 2017. I've only caught 2 largemouths, each weighed between 1-2lbs. Nothing special, but it's a start. So thanks again for having a place I can come to to learn how to get better at my new favorite hobby.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure. Yum dingers would be the same thing, right?

Looking for a friend to fish with.
I'm new here. Also recently got back into fishing and I love it. Too much my girlfriend says...lol. Being summertime and all she can't take the heat much anymore, so I'm looking for a friend in the Rapides Parish, Louisiana area to go fishing with as often as possible. I work M-F from 8am til 4:30pm and I can go pretty much any time after that and on weekends as well. Anybody interested please give me a shout and hopefully we can get together. I'm new to bass fishing and nowhere near a pro. Can't get good at it if I don't get to practice. Also would like to know where some good bank fishing is around here? No boat access.
