  1. They didn't offer me the Platinum Protection plan. It was weird, I told them at the show I was going to put $1500 - $2K down but the loan I was approved for was for no money down and 120 months and they had already added the cost of the GAP coverage, 7 year warranty and 5 year Accident/Health into the payments. I called and tried to put $2K down and they said that I can't because it will bring total financed under 10K and they won't finance under $10K so I'll be putting $1500 down. I called my insurance company, State Farm, to get an insurance quote and they asked if they could try to get me better terms on a loan and surprisingly they couldn't beat White River's interest rate. I'm only going with the gap coverage as it really doesn't add much to the payments and depreciation on boats is worse than cars.
  2. I just hope they aren't holding off delivery until they sell that many.
  3. Can't tell you which PFD to get as the one I have gets a bit uncomfortable with bunching up while sitting in my yak (it was cheap) but I do recommend getting a bright color so boaters can see you better. I have a bright yellow PFD and I also wear a bright orange hat when I'm out on the yak. Fish finders are not a MUST but you are near the water in the yak and don't have a lot of visibilty down into the water like you would on a boat. I have a vibe seaghost 110 and I have mounted a Garmin Striker 4 on it. It shows drop offs, fish and underwater "structure". Again, not a MUST but it's nice to be able to find those spots instead of just relying on what you can see on the surface.
  4. Didn't weigh it but all my bass this year were caught on BPS brand swimtail worms.
  5. All my bass came on BPS branded baits this past year
  6. Could have bought 2 for that price. https://www.amazon.com/2-Pack-TowMax-Trailer-80R13C-13X4-5/dp/B0728BWZNX/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516478194&sr=8-3&keywords=st185%2F80r13+tire+and+rim
  7. That's awesome!!! I bought mine at the Raleigh show on Sunday as well! Can't wait for it to arrive. If you live in the Raleigh area I hope to see you and your son out on the water this summer.
  8. Hi folks, just got back into fishing after being away from it for about 15 years. I live in Southeast Raleigh NC near Willow Springs. Bought myself a kayak and have cleaned off some old gear and bought some new gear. Been getting back out on the water slowly but surely. Hope to learn alot here as well as contribute.
