Do they bend out as easily as people say? That's what has me considering the MH version of these but I want to make sure to not ruin the balance of the Vision 110.

Size 5 or 6?

Took advantage of TW BF sale and got a few 110's and KVD J300 jerkbaits and now want to upgrade the hooks but NOT upset the action. TW looks to be discounting their Gammy hooks this weekend so I wanted to buy some to put on these. Originally I was thinking about the Gammy Magic Eyes then I read about everyone saying the Aaron Martens TGW Nano Finesse Treble Hook was the way to go with these jerkbaits. Now the MH version of these have me wondering if that is the ticket. I assume a little increased weight won't spoil the action or suspending nature of them? Also I see a lot of people saying size 6 is the best size and I also saying size 5 is the ideal size. Which style and size should I pull the trigger on? If it matters I'll be using a 6'10" rod with 10# FC on it.

To see the particular thing I was talking about Ish doing fast forward to about the 17:05 mark. Earlier you could see him holding the line between his fingers as Tom was talking about. But here you can see him actually manipulating the bait with this fingers/hand versus his rod. Anyone else ever seen this? I assume this would be a bit more subtle than using your rod, is this something a beginning jig fisherman should impart in his normal technique?

Hey A-Jay, I just wanted to thank you for your recommendation 2 weeks ago of the Quantum Tour KVD rod that I bought on Black Friday! On your advice I went with the 7' MH if I wanted to make sure I could rip from grass consistently. Haven't had a chance to fish seriously yet but it feels like what I was looking for when I threw a few from the bank the other day. I am now in the market for a different deeper crank rod, mostly for 5XDs and 6XDs. I have a Lews David Fritts 7'6" MH and for a few reasons I am just not happy with it. I am thinking about jumping up to the 7'10" Quantum Tour KVD model. I scoured the internet to see if I could see what KVD threw these 2 baits on and it indeed was the 7'10" model but it was nearly impossible to find what action he recommended. I would have assumed with such a long rod with a moderate taper he would go with a MH. To my surprise the ONLY article I could find on the subject was from back in 2016 where he said he used the 7'10" MEDIUM for these baits. I just wanted to see if you had an opinion or some experience to offer whether you should look at the M or MH in the 7'10" model?

To go along with this point, Tom, I was watching an over 10 year old Bassmasters yesterday on YouTube and I saw Ish Monroe doing this BUT with his fingers from this position he was actually jigging and manipulating the bait with his hands and not using the rod to do so. Do you recommend this to keep more in contact with the bait?

I thought there were issues in the past with this. More or less you are getting an additional 10% for free.

I always forget about these. Isn't there a stipulation you can't use them for yourself or if you do not for a few months or something?

Home sick from work today and have been watching a lot of Bassmasters on YouTube. Watched tons of guys comment about the weather they were fishing in and how they really wish the wind would pick up so they could throw a spinnerbait or a crank bait. I guess my question is what is stopping them and why does it make such a difference? I have always heard this kind of thing and just kind of accepted it as fact but I guess I never really understood why. I certainly understand that just because the fish are under/in the water that it isn't like they aren't affected by conditions around them. And I can understand the bite with baits like this being BETTER with wind but they all act like it just an act of futility to try these baits unless you've got some wind and was hoping for an explanation.

I was just wondering with less visibility when buying a deeper jerkbait if you might want to adjust what colors you go with versus a traditional shallow JB presentation.

Unfortunately I am sure I know the answer to this but the only way to get that daily special is to ACTUALLY PURCHASE it on that day, correct? What I mean is I always like to plan ahead somewhat to make sure my TW purchases are over 50 bucks so to get free shipping. There are items on sale today I would like but they do not eclipse the $50 mark. There are items I want on the 16th as well. I would rather not buy say 5 different items throughout the length of the sale and have to purchase them each individually on their day and have 5 separate packages and pay 5 shipping costs. Anyway to accomplish this?

A lot of people seem to like translucent colors on jerkbaits. Because light is obviously more prevalent higher in the water column versus the lower would translucent colors be more successful shallower and if I'm looking at buying some deeper jerkbaits should I go with louder colors that are seen easier?

I spent WAY too much money at TW on BF. So much that I was thinking it would be way too big a hassle to get it all in one picture. Since you guys like it so much I will make the effort for you!

Not to hijack the thread speaking of new Zoom products when did they start making frogs? I saw them the other day at BPS and these things were HUGE! Look at them compared to the size of the Booyah model?

I got a few good items last year. And after they more or less give us a blanket 20% off discount for 4 days I do not see the need to complain.

About 2 weeks ago they lowered it to 119 (because KVD is leaving Quantum for Lews so you will see a lot of his stuff put on sale) but this weekend you got an additional 20% off for the BF sale.

The KVD was on sale at TW for $95 this weekend so I picked on up.
