Slammers seem to be common in everyone’s arsenal

This is completely Normal specially for a big fish like that. What hurts worse is I live by Lake Erie and in the spring time I throw megabass vision 110 and the smallmouth pull so hard I actuslly break trebles or bend them out all day.. and that’s a 25$ bait ? ..

Ok awesome thank you! I don’t fish from a boat so I small small waters. Usually 200 acres or less. Most of the lakes 75% of the time are 100 or less. I know they have lots of perch and bluegill and one is actually stocked with rainbows and brown trout. I tried the ganteral as I said just didn’t have anything.. idk if I was fishing it wrong or what. I tried s slow retrieve, fast retrieve and tried twitching it kind of like s jerkbaits and making it do 180s with nothing. I’ll take a look at mattlures and the other one you mentioned. I have been wanting to get a MS slammer for awhile so I might take the plunge on that. The perch color looks good

Now would you consider this mainly a pre spawn bait? Or woukd you fish this from pre spawn till fall?

Try using an IBobber I used it and helps a lot. It can show weeds and depth changes which can be very useful. I usually try and find green weeds or drop offs though if I don’t have the iBobber. Weed edges, drop offs , trees or docks.

I wasn’t sure when to put this in northern fishing, tackle or general but my question is about what people throw up North for swimbaits or big fish lures. I live in Ny and don’t expect to be fishing for 10+ fish. I know down south and California and Texas throw massive swimbaits , 8-12inches and huge presentations for bass but up here we don’t have fish that big. I know where there are some 7-8 pounder fish but I don’t think throwing a 10 or 12 inch hudd would get a bite. Yes I know fish try to eat anything and everything but realistically I’m wondering what others throw for those big fish? 6 inch huds? Perch huds? I tried a jackall ganteral jr for about 4 hours with not even a follow. I’m sure 4 hours is nothing when chasing big fish but I just didn’t think anything would eat it. I have caught plenty of 2-5 on swimjigs or regular jigs. Spinnerbaits but I’m looking for that step up.. any help or thoughts ? Sorry if this is a repost.

Even funnier I got some z man custom chatterbaits yesterday and now they are even more on sale with the dsily special at TW! Was like oh maybe I should get more for the backup backup backups.

Thank you , I figured perch were easier for them to swallow not being so “tall” and and spiny. I picked up a couple perch lures for the Labor Day sale .. guess we will see how it goes

I know there are perch in here but I’m wondering if they would be the main forage or the bluegills ? And would it be beneficial to try and mimic perch or throw a perch swimbait to try and get that big one.

A new lake I fish this year that I found has a lot of healthy bass. Have caught bass from 6 inches to 6 pounds and one thing I notice is they are all fat! Super healthy fat bass but I notice in the lake there is a lot of perch and I haven’t seen many bluegill. There are bluegill but I come across more perch than anything. I’m wondering if bass eat perch? And would they be a main forage for bass if the bluegill popular was lower. Also what lures would you use then to mimic perch? Obviously jigs or swimjigs of perch color but I feel like there has to be a huge 8+ in here. Here are some pics to i believe they are perch. Hard to tell in the picture.

Anyone have the dilemma of wanting to get tackle with the Labor Day sales 15% off or more but not really “neeeding the tackle” but “wanting” lol. I mean you can always use more of everything haha. Might as well get it now right? ? anyone else ever to threw this tug o war.

Thank you everyone I found what I was looking for. Tackle warehouse has 99.9% of everything but I was looking for a color of the pompadour they didn’t have in the regular size that’s all. Hope the pompadour is a good as everyone says .. thing looks crazy

Wondering what other tackle shops people shop at online? I was looking st Tackle warehouse and they don’t have some of the colors im looking for in a bait. I would rather not buy 2 lures from this place and 2 from here and 1 from another etc etc. just wanna buy it all from one.. any other decent providers out there ?

**UPDATE** called 6th sense this morning and they are going to send another rod free of charge this time. And make sure to wrap it up super good and make sure nothing happens to it. They were very helpful this morning when I cslled and I guess they were just confused on everything. So I’m very happy.. I hate to be “that guy” but I was just disappointed as I like what they do.. so I’m glad all worked out.

Well wouldn’t you think they should Ben responsible to wrap it so when it ships that doesn’t happen ?

The like I fish is fed by a creek that has Muskie and northern pike so I figured maybe he lake did ... I guess I should be throwing chain pickerel imitators now lol

Can’t tell if it’s a baby pike or baby Muskie. I’m thinking pike but idk

I can show you better pics. I talked to some guy named Travis Lyons I believe. I can even show you the emails. The first time I cslled the guy said i was sketchy and sounded weird So I emailed this Travis guy and he is giving me a hard time also. I had line on the to stop bc I wasn’t going to use it before noticing the guides. They were not cooperative at all. They made it seemed like I’m some young kid lying to them or trying to I pull a fast one. I’ll show you how the rod looks tht they sent me. The full rod.

I bought directly from 6th sense and the customer service is trash. I emailed them pics and showed them how bad it was and they said it’s unusual for it to happen and then never responded back. Like I purposely bent the guides or something. They were horrible.

COuldnt tell completely. But maybe 3-4 but I would still say 3 bc of how skinny

I actually stopped fishing that lake this year. It sucks to bc it has big pike and musky in there .. maybe next year
